Well, this is one thread we can?t let die.

I?ve still been on the hunt for a bottle of Ardbeg 17yr? even 10yr. will do. I?ve already contacted the distillery and global distributor in Scotland and was kindly greeted by the VP Marketing Director via email where it was explained to me that they could only send their products to the U.S. or Canadian national distributors. I have also checked with local reputable stores if they could do a special order for a premium order, I was denied. I have contacted the ?Duty Free? shop across the board in Windsor Canada and they simply do not carry Ardbeg.

This brings me to my last option, online ordering within the U.S. Has anyone ever ordered premium whisky online and if so what is a reputable source for my order?

Ardbeg is not "easy" to find because it isn't highly marketed...but digging around hard enough, you should come up with something...and yea it sucks their online store won't sell to the US or Canada (taxes and the like no doubt)

Here's a company called Internet Wines & Spirits over in Illinois; not too far away. They have the 10yr bottle available...shipping is around $12 for 1 bottle which isn't too shabby. Hit 'em up.

They also list the 9 yr., '77, & '91

actually, reviewing some of their wine and scotch prices....they're not the best i've seen.


there's a place here called Lukas Liquor that is like the Walmart of liquor...it's that big, they have everything (except Stella Artois, sigh)

That place you mentioned might be internet only too, seems so anyway.

Plus, Illinois is the fucking shithole swamp of the midwest, (Chicago doesn't count, they rule.)
