Chris Laurens & Steve James on MercuryRising (April 13 2005)

    hey eb people.
this month i'm proud to bring you belgian based dj Chris Laurens.
i first caught notice of him when he did a mix for Josi's u4ea show. great build and great set overall.
he's dropped a nice mix for me this month so tune in or be square.

Chris Laurens eventualy started with deejaying (vinyl) in '97.
Sound & Music has always been the biggest passion in his life!
First he started with turntablism in his bedroom like every dj started.
And quickly he started playing on small parties and stuff.
In '98 he had the oppertunity to play for the first time in a discotek,
afterclub "The Maxxx" in Beveren-Waas but that was only for a short period.
Later that year he also had a short adventure in danscaf? "The Ritz" in Ertvelde.
So from '98 untill 2000 he was frequently active as a Dj.

    BUT!!

Due ... problems in 2000 he had to quit for a while,
he kept himself at the background.
Meanwhile he has been experimenting with beats and tracks,
and he putted his first steps in the world of producing.
from time to time he performed at smaller parties.

At the end of '03 he decided to apply hisself back on deejaying.
He won the Young Talents Dj Contest of the City Parade 2004
and played on the pre party of the parade as warming up for Armin Van Buuren.
Later that year he was selected for Switch (Discover The Dj)
and October 30 Studiobrussel broadcasted a set of him.
Now his musical trip goes on with the start of a new progressive concept.
    REFLECTIONS

my mix is another part to the zelda sessions set from 2002.
i know what you're thinking, what a lazy ass two old mixes in a row.
but truthfully after wmc i didnt have enough time to build a new set with some of the tracks i got down in miami.
this mix is from 2002 and actually part 1 of a 2 parter set.
hope everyone enjoys it. seemed that the other part of this set was well liked so here goes nuthin!

STEVE JAMES - Return to your seat young man. Your not leaving just yet!!

You flood the MS+ airwaves with yourself then leave town chucking a 3 yr old mix on the stereo as you go out the door.

It best be good, i will be listening and scoring out of 100.
