    Release Notes:

    01. Alexander Aurel - Enjoy the Night (Pele & Shawnecy Remix) [Terminal M Records | TERM112]

After Alexander Aurel's very successful first Terminal M appearance on the Cookies EP Vol. 1 earlier this year, Monika Kruse had no doubt to release a proper EP with this talented dj from Frankfurt. Additionally the two duos Pele & Shawnecy and Paul C & Paolo Martini commissioned fantastic versions of the title track. Enjoy Your Night.

    Release Date: 30.06.2014

    02. James Organ - Be Yourself [Promo]

Aigburth's James Organ is part of the Liverpool based Chibuka crew, and has had releases on Love Not Money Records and Natural Rhythm.

    03. Oxia - Perception [Saved Records | SAVED103]

The latest release to drop on the Saved Records imprint is a two track EP titled 'Perception’ from Oxia. A label long established as being at the forefront of underground dance music, Saved Records continues to source talent from across the globe, this time drawing on the French house pioneer for this most recent offering, due out on the 19th May.

Oxia’s career spans over a decade and has seen releases on a plethora of electronic music’s most notable labels. His early musical influences reflect a large spectrum of music styles including electro-funk, italo-disco, new-wave and early remnants of the Chicago house scene. Fast forward to present, Oxia’s two track EP for Saved shows clearly how he masters the house and techno crossover and demonstrates how after so many years in the game, Oxia is still at the forefront of the international electronic scene, relying on deep melodic grooves as the key element in his production.

Saved Records has wasted no time in building a reputation as leaders in world class house and techno and is now a well respected and hugely admired independent label. Alongside label founder Nic Fanciulli, artists who have released on the label include Joris Voorn, Adam Beyer, The Martinez Brothers, Mark Fanciulli and Rolando amongst many others.

    Released by: SAVED RECORDS
    Release/catalogue number: SAVED103
    Release date: 19 May 2014

    04. Thanos T & Troncoso feat. Love Sosa - Back Love (The Midnight Perverts Luvs Me Not Mix) [Fade Records | FD122]

Greek born Thanos T links up with Miami based Troncoso for another great release, this time for us at Fade Records. Black Love is sublime piece of house with hypnotic groove that is easy to grab attention. Mexicos The Midnight Perverts deliver more techier groove with their remix offering the second punch. Santo Demonio is heavy driving bass groove with guest vocalist Lou Flores dropping science as only he can. Fade label boss Chris Fortier rounds out the release with his remix, stripping it all down the the bare essentials and tripping out Lou Flores with signature dubbiness.

    Release Date: 13.05.2014

    05. Luca Agnelli - Orion (Brett Johnson Remix) [Etruria Beat | ETB017]

Etruria beat's 017 release sees his founder at the forefront, Luca Agnelli, who is back on his own label after his latest track Dark Moon which was played by the best artists of the techno scene, and after being the cover Dj of DJmag Italy May 2014.

Two original tracks, Orion and Cassiopea, plus two remixes of well-known artists such as Brett Johnson, who just released on Visionquest, and Daschund from Highgrade and Clapper.

Orion has an old-style flavour, characterised by a 909 groove and a bass-line from an old 303; the main element is the Moog synth, that is addictive, melodic and hypnotic, that will lead you away through the atmosphere of Detroit.

Brett Johnson turns Orion into much more deep track, playing with the main synth and making it suitable to after-hours. Daschund instead has a tech-house touch giving relentless and happiness to the groove of the track. The last track of ep is Cassiopea, inspired by the sound of Ostgut Ton. Dark and deep sounds will bring us into a subterranean journey ... on the way to Etruria!

    Release Date: 15.05.2014

    06. Reference - Isolated Rhythm [200 Records | 200028]

Reference are back on 200 Records! After their stellar 12” “Ghetto Nebula” on our sub-label 200 Black they return with “Isolated Rhythm”. The A-Side is an excellent piece Detroit techno that has chart potential this time around. On the B-side we have “Unified Movement”, a perfectly produced dub-techno track in a beautiful atmosphere.

Support: Laurent Garnier, Pig&Dan, Chymera, Anthony Pappa, Brett Johnson, Jeff Bennett, Vince Watson, Paul Hazendonk, Nhar, Gunnar Stiller, Secret Cinema, Soukie & Windish.

    Laurent Garnier: “Great tracks!”
    Pig&Dan “Something special!!!”
    Chymera: “Bomb!”

Written and produced by Luke Hess & Brian Kage, mastering by Emanuel Geller, artwork by empp.de.

200 Records was founded as a Techno label for vinyl and digital releases by Kai Sasse and Dirk Middeldorf in Cologne, Germany at the beginning of 2009. It also includes sub imprint 200 BLACK is a new vinyl series focusing on organic and analogue techno.

Reference consists of the Detroit-based artists Luke Hess & Brian Kage. The group was created for the expression of underground music and dance culture. Luke Hess is a name synonymous with a new wave of ‘Detroit techno’ producers, but his roots go deeper than that. His continued hard work as a musician and his talent as a DJ has allowed him to release music on some of the most respected labels and play some of the most prestigious clubs in the world. Brian Kage is the founder of the record label Beretta Music. Along with a countless number of successful releases, Brian’s experience as a producer, DJ, and label-head has helped shape and catapult the careers of some of today’s brightest and best artists in the dance music community.

Like any pure artistic or avant-garde entity, they have no concern for following trends. Hess & Kage have come together to create music in it’s truest form; experimentation, soul, sweat, live instrumentation, and organic sounds all welded together to form deep and timeless music. The main concern of Reference is to stand diligently behind the foundation of underground culture and against commercialism that longs to destroy the freedom of our senses.

Reference previously released Ghetto Nebula [200BLACK002] in October 2013 on Ltd. edition blue vinyl (300 pressings).

    07. Nathan Cable - Get Up (Just Be Remix) [Bedrock Records | Beddigi49]

Forthcoming on the Live In Miami release and also on a package incl. a Just Be Remix.

Nathan Cable's first ventures into the world of music were as the vocalist of live techno TEN, an outfit that performed their first gigs at John Digweed's original Bedrock parties.

As one half of production team Tenth-Chapter he wrote records for William Orbit's cult label Guerilla Records which became one of the main players in the first wave of the UK Progressive sound and scene. Tenth-Chapter also went on to release on Sasha & Digweed's championed label Jackpot Records and toured as a live act.

Rolling back the years Nathan returns to Bedrock with his solo production Get Up. This huge bass-laden, broken-beat beast stomps on us from the first kick drum to the last. On the remix is Matthew Bushwacka!, under his Just Be alias. Absorbing the summer vibes from his current Ibiza base is proving to be a secret ingredient for the English producer who is turning out a constant stream of solid gold releases and remixes. Taking it back to the 4/4, Just Be reworks Get Up into a heads-down driver thats crying out for the summers dance-floors.

    08. Century - Luv Crime (Swayzak Remix) [CVMR Music | CVMR008]

CVMR is a both a vinyl and digital record label based in Mexico City. In its beginnings Cøbra Voyage started out in its early days as a film, radio, and press agency supporting both Mexican and international underground electronic music.

Mexico’s CVMR returns this May with the ‘Luv Crime’ EP from Century, backed with a remix from Swayzak.

Mexican duo Century aka Susan Luv and Emili are one of the production duos behind the CVMR imprint, and here they deliver their contemporary house sound for the eighth release on their fledgling imprint. Century’s live performances see the pair blend drum machines and synthesisers, with live editing and sampling, adding a unique appeal to the artists and landing them slots alongside the likes of Aeroplane, Mock & Toof, Daniel Solar,Tiger & Woods, Ewan Pearson, a recent appearance on Boiler Room (Platform – Century-60-min-live-act-boilerr), and a booking at Iceland’s Secret Solstice Festival playing alongside Massive Attack and Kerri Chandler to name but a few.

The original mix of title track ‘Luv Crime’ kicks things off, a smooth, ethereal cut led by deep atmospherics, rugged low-slung rhythms and hypnotic acid tinges, while a menacing, stabbing bass hook insistently drives the groove, and swirling dub echoes subtly add a intense background depth to the composition.

Swayzak steps up afterwards to rework ‘Luv Crime’, a great choice from CVMR considering the raw, dubbed out feel of the original, Swayzak do what they do best here and deliver a tripped-out ten minute reshape where the composition cleverly evolves and retracts on itself throughout, with profound processing keeping it in an ever dynamic state, stunning stuff as expected from such proficient producers.

The package is then rounded off with another original from Century, entitled ‘Closer’, this time delving a little deeper with the sound palette, the pair fuse cosseting pads and stuttering arpeggio bass with crunchy drum samples and heavily delayed and reverberated vocal licks to create a psychedelic, dropped-tempo number, closing the EP in style.

Century’s ‘Luv Crime’ EP is out on CVMR 24th May 2014.
