I knew we had one on this before the crash, but I can't seem to find a relavent post at the moment.

I just got put in charge of digital downloads for Acute Recordings, so I am trying to compile a list of web stores... so far we have:

EDM, Beatport

They focus more on psy-progressive (ala Digital Structures, Plusquam, etc), but maybe they would also be interested in Acute Recordings!

i have never used these, but would like to start, I am starting to feel guilty about using soulseek, if you buy a track do you just get one mix or do you get more than one, as in the tracks that would be on the vinyl release

Depends on the store. Release sells .mp3 EPs - you usually get 2 or 3 tracks (and it's a bit more expensive). But most other services sell on a per-track basis only. The nice thing is that many of these places also sell previously unreleased remixes of the tracks.

Most of the ones listed here are sites that look after their own labels

EDM & Beatport are the main general sites but City16.com is also one to check out that hasn't been listed yet

Distinctive Records sells downloads of most of their tracks
