But how many of these shops sell MP3s? city16.com has a geat selection, but they are all in winamp and coded so that you can only play them back from one platform.

The old Hooj shop - what is now

has a good selection of downloads. You can get hold of pretty much the entire hooj and airtight back cat digitally - which is nice

maybe, but I have always hated WindowsMedia audio. anybody care to comment on the quality of the digital downloads from city16, compared to 320 kbps MP3 ???

I just got into digital downloads, still love vinyl, but I can't afford to buy all the vinyls I want...

So I already tried 3Beat, EDMDigital, Beatport, Fiber and another one that hasn't been posted here yet - www.trackitdown.net .

So far I can say 3Beat's service/quality rocks.

On the other hand, I got some 320 kbps tracks from Beatport that suck in quality, kind of dissapointed from them. Same goes for trackitdown, 320 only on the new releases. Plus I got 2 tracks that were cut off in the end, I have to email them and complain now....

Have tried Beatport, EDM, and Fiberline.

I just came across another one, www.karmadownload.com

Anybody have any experience with them?

I've used them several times and have had no problems at all. My only gripe is that the mp3s are only encoded in 256 kbps, but it is still (barely) playable for gigs, IMO.

Digibag is worthwhile by virtue of having the Brique Rouge catalog available for download.

Bleep is the excellent Warp Records download site. Labels include Ninja Tune, One Little Indian, Planet Mu, etc.

Smart-Music.net features free, LEGAL mp3 download sites.

                        EDM URL?

Does anyone have the URL for EDM? Thought it might be www.edm.com - doesn't seem to work. Google is coming back with shit as well.
