design most of all........doing ads of 2x3meters, photoshop illustrator, that kinda of things...but my boss told me that he can afford to pay 1,500us dollars...so....is it good?

3500 athlon is pretty slow by todays standard, i have a 4000+ amd athlon in my desktops and to be honest its pretty sluggish compared with this laptop which is a dual core 1.66 centrino, but if ur not going to be using power hungry programs ( which i am on my desktop ) that seems like a very very good deal although the athlon will be the older 939 rather than the new amd2 which really hasnt lived up to its performanc benifits yet and i tell u this because if in time u want to upgrade ur chip then u will b stuck with a 939 socket and the fastest speed/ processor u will be able to upgrade too will be 4800/5000+ as amd are slowly phasing out the 939, also, the ram u are getting with that is ddr 1 which is poor compared with ddr2

it really depends on how much u are willing to spend but i would recommend a dual core either athlon ( which will be either be a socket 939 ((lower prices)) or amd2 higher prices ) or a dual core pentium, atleast either of those 2 will last a bit longer in time because of fast moving technology, to be honest i wouldnt spend the money or a amd2 just now because the price is high and @ the moment u r only gettin a 2% increase in performance, duo 2 pentiums are fast but they are expensive, from wat i have read previously in this post is the fact that u will be doing mostly graphic work on ur pc so ur main concentration should be on the graphics card which is the most expensive part in building a pc

...wich model of dual core athlon you can recommend me?...to ask my friend how much it cost....and see the differences between them....coz i already cross my budget limit in about 90 dollars :P...also the video card.....please and thanks :P

god!!! lol, either a 3800+ dual core OR a 4200+ dual core, prices of these 2 have been hittin quite low for the performance u get from them recently ( both 939 sockets ) if u goto ebuyer or somewhere similar then u will be able to look @ components and compare prices, as for graphics cards well i,m no really that good @ them i,m afraid but i do know that if u ant a good 1 then its gonna take a huge chunk out ur overall budget

a friend of mine sells computers stuff.....so i just told him that my budget is around 1,500us dollars and he send me that computer specs to my email.......why?....is it expesive, cheap?...mm.....video cards hum....let me see if i better choose a better video card....

to be honest i think its a good deal but its older stock so this is why i,m pointing out certain problems with upgrading and stuff, how much is $1500 of ur money in ?s
