    This Week's Guest:
Chris Ewen & Majik (Bridgeport / Friction_LA / Eccentric Beats, LA)

Chris Ewen has been playing records at events around Southern California since May of 2000. In that time he's developed a reputation for his unique dj sets. Chris has always strived to create something different with his djing. Playing his own blend of deep progressive music, Chris pushes his mixing to the limits and beyond in an effort to make each of his sets extraordinary. If there is one thing that can be said about Chris it would be how he's been able to grab his crowd and connect them with the music. He's taken mixing to the next level and made it an art; painting the canvas of silence with his smooth style. As a part of Biohazard Productions he plans to take his musical talents with him to the studio and his dj talents to the decks across the country. Chris is one of the most hard working, dedicated, and determined djs in the scene and he's sure to keep striving for the goal of being one of the most respected djs in the world.

Majik has always had a love for music. He first discovered his talent as a musician in 1994, learning to play the trumpet in his middle school's band. The following year, he picked up the alto saxophone and the tuba. By the time he reached high school, he knew that his future was in music. He decided to stay with the trumpet, and was classically trained at California State University Fullerton. He now plans to become a music educator at the high school level, and spread his love for music to the next generation.
Majik was first introduced to the world of electronic music in 1997, when he met a Hard House DJ at his school. He soon after bought his first pair of 1200'and began to train himself behind the decks. In 1998 he attended JuJubeats, this was the first time he saw world class DJ's perform live. By 2000, Majik had progressed in his style, and was constantly listening to different styles of music to find his sound.
Majik then stepped into the studio to produce his own music. With the majority of electronic music at the time having no actual musical value, he decided to make a difference. Majik puts his music above all else. He feels that musicical value should never be compromised for anything, and is very optimistic about the recent rise in all forms of intelligent dance music. He is currently working as hard as he can to spread his music and his philosophy across the globe, and promote the up rise of intelligent music. His current influences include: John Digweed, Chris Scott, Groove Armada, Bill Laswell, and LTJ Bukem among others.
