Re: Danny Howells - Live @ B018, Beirut - August 2012
That can happen, it may depend on your player. Once you're sure you have the complete file (use JDownloader or any other download manager with CRC check) you can try and remove all tags or fix the mp3 stream or LAME header in an editor.

i think it was my flash drive that i have it on. I think my stereo and flash drive couldnt handle that much Howells. I burned it to a disc and Im gonna give that a shot.

no thanks, its all good now. burned it to disc along with some other long danny howells sets. Now its working fine, and I got about 25 hours of danny on one disc, that should keep me entertained for a while

I'll probably get smashed for expressing my opinion, but oh well.
Firstly, I am grateful for Danny sharing this & all of his other extended sets in great sound quality.
This, along with the Pristina sets just don't do it for me. Sounds as though he's gone away from that signature sound that I remember Danny for & love. Just take a listen to Danny Howells @ Darkbeat Brown Alley, Melbourne 2008 as an example.
Seems as though he's gone toward the tech sound, which is fine... but not what I expect or hope for from Danny when it's 90% of the set.

danny is still danny, as usual...but in think the beirut set due to the nature of the place and stuff requires heavier sounds, and this is a heck of a good one...just saw him play and he was gliding thru the first two hours, magical sounds...

Just the way I hear it.
Kinda feel the same. I'm far from an expert on the matter, but to me the set sounds very tech-housy and less melodical than older sets from Danny... First two hours I found pretty boring, after that it takes off and gets better imho
