So much drugs and v and t's - all my wife could say was "how debauch" - they acted like spoil children (plane scene to Switzerland).

Great acting and an excellent film

Another Scorsese brilliance. I think the casting could not have been any more perfect, with the character selection and the dialogue was perfect. An interesting thing I found was the similarities between the fictional characters and the real life characters:

Despite the height contrast and some Holywood visual 'licensing' you could say that they are almost alike.

I find that most of Scorsese's films depict a bio pic. You're there for the lead - his victory, falls, attributions and eventual conclusions. Films such as The Casino, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, and the likes all depicted a central character and the context of how this character sees it - it's his winning formula. You could understand why he would have begged for this film and character to be portrayed.

There are a few things which obviously I didn't agree with on this movie despite it being over the top fictionalised the use of drugs, strippers, etc. was just too central. I cannot say that this is all Belfort did, and would have been good to see more emphasis on his rising, than just spending 2 hours of the movie dedicated to the fall and demise of Belfort. But it did make for an interesting story.

I am interested to find out the difference between Wolf and this:

But I suppose this goes for any Wall St. based picture. You make a lot of money and you get the drugs, sex, and addictions. But fail to make note of the 19hr days you will spend arguing, and not every trader is simply a millionaire.
