  1. Re: Sasha - LUZoSCURA Radio Show 004 - June 2021

Of course this is very similar in style/tracklist to his recent sets, but I did enjoy this

Re: Volt Podcast 035 - Patrice Bäumel

I would agree I think, he is more hit than miss for me. The Audio Obscura mix from last year was tremendous. He just has a tendency to play the odd track/section in a mix that is instantly...

Re: Volt Podcast 035 - Patrice Bäumel

How would people classify what Baumel plays? I have really enjoyed some of his sets, but there are a few that I feel are a bit bland - no real highs/lows and nothing that I think 'Wow I want to go...
  4. Re: 1999-12-09 - Danny Howells - Live @ Bedrock Heaven London John Digweed warm up se

Strong chance I was at this gig (if it was indeed Heaven). Great memories, still amazed that it was £5 entry to see some of the greatest DJs of all time.

Re: Transitions 873 ● John Digweed with a guest mix Anfisa Letyago

Liked her first track, then it went rapidly downhill.

Good to hear that Groove Is In The Air track randomly dropped in Digweed's hour - although rather depressing to hear him say it is 20 years...
  6. Re: Sasha - LUZoSCURA Radio Show 003 - May 2021

Got to agree on the 'tired sound' point. I have enjoyed listening to these and the more laid back LNOE sets, but they arent anything I want to return to really.

I always listen to Digweed's transitions and Sasha's LNOE / Luzoscura sets via Youtube - user = cosmobeat

Re: The worst opening tracks of all time

Whenever I need cheering up, I look at a few Corey Feldman videos. The Howard Stern one with him probably can't be topped for sheer hilarity!

Re: Danny Howells - Choice album interview

I was listening to that Choice album just this week. Not one of my favourites I should admit, barring a couple of tracks I really enjoyed, it just wasnt for me
  11. Re: Sasha - LUZoSCURA Radio Show 002 - April 2021

That Sky Civilian track is beautiful.

The first two shows of this have been pretty solid - not something I will return to down the line, but a pleasant listen whilst working

    Re: Cool DJ pix

Lol yeah I remember the hype around that track for months and then, as you say, everyone was sick of it by the end of summer 1999 (see also Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone - to a much lesser extent!)

^Excellent knowledge. How nostalgic to see that flyer, with all the venues where you could buy tickets from including the now defunct 'Soul Sense; in Luton where I got the tickets from. The days...

    Re: Cool DJ pix

^ wow great pic and I'm pretty sure I was at this gig myself. I deffo saw Oakey at Ultra Vegas in MK (I'm only 25 miles away from MK so it was a relatively 'local' gig for me). I wonder if he ever...

  16. Re: Guy J - Echos Live (Guy J's production only) 19.03.2021

I had to turn this off after 90 minutes. Too boring for me!
  17. Re: Guy J - Echos Live (Guy J's production only) 19.03.2021

All those tracks and he doesn’t play his greatest track Lamur!

Re: Transitions 866 ● John Digweed with a guest mix Moonface

We certainly are. I've always thought that Digweed, Sasha etc 'are in their forties' but actually they're not - I'm in my forties and these guys are in their fifties. Amazed that some of them have...
  19. Re: Sasha & John Digweed - BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix (2002-04-07) [Classic EM] [HQ]

Agreed, they themselves have much better EM's from that time period. I always enjoyed the one that started with 'Nalin & Kane - Live from the Crystal Palace (Bedrock mix)'. That sounded like the...

Couple of decent tracks in the Moonface set.

Can't believe I danced to Moonface sets at Bedrock (Heaven, London) over 20 YEARS AGO!!!

Listened to this twice, some nice sounds in parts but probably not one I'll return to.

The Gui Boratto track is good.

Didn’t realise that both Coccoluto and Moraes had passed away. Not too familiar with Cocculuto’s work but Moraes made some great music over the years.

I should have added that the Bunkers are not an essential listen for me. I’m sure they will surface down the line and I will listen then.

I was considering the subscription option but all I hear...

Re: John Digweed - Bunker Mix #26 (31-10-20)

Gave this set another go. The first 90 minutes are really enjoyable, some 'different' tracks in there for sure.

It's made me track down the album by Gidge (New Light) and I'm glad I did - it's...
