I am back from Holidays and wanted to say Hello again. I hope you all got a bit used to your new homebase and like the look of Mercuryserver. I know it was hard for my eyes after we changed the board design and switched from a grey background to a black one but after I got used to it, I never wanted to go back and dig the look since then. I hope you like it as well and feel comfortable here.

One of our designers, Dominik Kruger (user asdf_admin) made 2 banners we put on rotation on top of the Forums, hope you like them. :)

welcome back Tom!

That´s called: Speak Spanish, Motherfucker. :wanna fi:

If I could I would...I need to learn it some day. :D If I used translation tools it will sound ridiculous, I have dealt with too much auto-translated postings already to know they suck. As I do not speak the best English or use complicated words (as I don't know them by myself ha ha) I hope most people can understand it nevertheless. If not, I know some good people who can translate it for me. :) I was just happy when I saw the banners for the new Spanish and German Forums on Mercuryserver when I came back because I asked Dominik if he could do his Magic before Holidays and the banners turned out to be really good.

CUBA ?

mmmm

sorry but i did not like them :what

como que nos estan pintando a todo latino america de comunistas no? mas alla de lo malo/bueno que pueda llegar a traer aparejado eso.

The reason why Dominik has chosen Cuba as the background is that he wanted to give it a bit of political touch. Cuba is the only communist Latin country and by putting "Libre" next to it, he wanted to point out that Cuba needs to be freed...so it is supposed to be understood as "Free Cuba". We do not think Spanish people are all communists.

. "spanish speaking members" 8)

Translation for TomTom: The banner is not bad, and I agree completely on the "free cuba" statement.. but none the less I don't see a correlation between the Cuba banner and the fact that this section of the forum is for spanish speaking members.. .again its not bad, but I think what would be more appropriate is something more universal since the majority of the spanish speaking members tend to be from different spanish speaking Countries. .. anyhow hope that feedback helps ;) and for language purposes it should really be "bienvenidos al mercuryserver espanol" guess i paid attention in school :D

Thanks for translating it. I already asked Dominik to check if he can find a more universal background and I will forward the correction "bienvenidos al mercuryserver espanol" but I have to mention here that the description came from Arielus originally. I guess he did not pay attention in school. :p But I wouldn't have paid attention as well I bet because women from Argentina are the sexiest I know.
