    laptop mixers - controllers

so i want to get a mixer for my laptop but i dont know which one! i dont want to spend loads of money as i still have my 1200's and cdjs so i only need this new laptop mixer as an extra! i am between these mixers:

    Behringer BCD2000

    Behringer BCD3000

    Numark Total Control

    iON iCUE

each one costs round £100 and i dont want to go well over the £100 limit.
has anyone used any of these? what do you think?

i've used their products before and yes they are less expensive but they also do not last anywhere near as long as their higher priced counterparts.. just a lower quality product, though yes, more economical

i see it for 386.00 USD
yes it is a bit more expensive, but again, you get what you pay for

People are always raving about the vci-100 on the Native Instruments forum.

I've heard nothing but good things about it.

a couple of friends have used traktor with a trigger finger, although its not a mixer per say, but you can assign all the faders and knobs to work as a mixer.

and i think its around 150 dlls.

this is mostly a midi controller i think. also it doesnt have jog wheels to syncronize the two channels!
i dont want the mixer for club use, just for personal use. thats why i dont want to spend a lot of money!
btw i saw very good comments about the vci100!

Behringer products are the equivalent of K Mart products.

Vestax products are the equivalent of Target products.

                      Target = better quality products?

i see what you're saying but the difference in price is not a little.. i can get a bcd3000 for £100 when the cheapest vci100 costs £329.
a bit too much to get it just for fun and not for professional use..
on the other hand if the bcd3000 is total shit it definately not worth even the £100...

                        Evolution UC-33

Another popular midi controller, lots of knobs...which I value the most. And you can get it for less than $200

how easy are these mixers to add to a laptop?

do u need a specific sound card? or is it usb plug and play???

i think its plug and play. some have their own built-in soundcard, so you just plug the usb to the laptop and the phono leads to the amp and you have the master and the cue comes from the controller (just like all mixers). others need a soundcard with ASIO driver to get the 2 outputs (master1,2 from the soundcard + cue 3,4 from laptop's basic audio out)
