At The Mixing Bowl they have a lossless version from FM source, I'm going to have a listen.

MJC's EM is not epic, I wasn't especially impressed when it was broadcast, but the track selection is top notch and on second listen I appreciated it much more, Delano Smith - Lost In Detroit and Eats Everything - Entrance Song are going to be played to death.

talented? how so? all her tracks sound alike, she can't mix nor can she build a set properly at a club or festival, and I'm sorry but this essential mix was rubbish

Instead of lambasting my opinion on an artists work, why not just post your own? I think she's talented, her mixes work for me.

She's only 24, most of the dj's/producers revered here are almost 50. Plus, she's not a dj, she's a producer first, not to mention that house dj's often don't care for "flawless transitions". This EM is a bit random, but rubbish it isn't, that's too harsh.

I'd disagree .. I think MJC has her own style and feel to her mixes and she stands out from other DJs. Her RA mix was fantastic too.

Far better than the likes of Soul Clap who are getting loads of publicity.

MJC is a decent dj, and a talented producer, worthy of an EM.. I personally don't think so, and that is my opinion.. this weeks EM
with Paul Kalkbrenner is proof of what an Essential Mix should be.. remember back in the day when we were looking forward to Zabiela EM, THAT'S what I expect, nothing less.....

I just think Maya has a fresh ear and style ... I probably listen to things from the view point of a musician than a DJ - the odd imperfection doesn't bother me.

The likes of Traktor can give you flawless mixes all bashed in the same key if you wish, but I like somethig that catches my ear and my imagination.

I still hope to get around to this one, just haven't felt compelled/had the right time in this heatwave. The musicianship reason you cited was the reason I had to check out Mr. Kalkbrenner's Emix. ;-)

Compared to other sets available on the Net this one is a bit all over the place. I like her but I wouldn't say it's a memorable EM.
