Are the Chillout and Drum & Bass Genres still around?

So the obvious answer is most likely "yes," but if that's true, then does anyone actually follow it? If you do follow it, who are the top producers, labels, djs nowadays?

Distinction, I am not referring to AMBIENT, which is it's own genre. Isn't it?

I wonder if there are more followers currently of Drum & Bass or Chillout? Both genres that seem to have been popular in the 90's and 00's but I don't know if they still are?

My guess is nobody here really knows, since the majority of the members listen to HOUSE. deep, prog, tech, etc. but thought I would ask anyway.

mrsuicidesheep and suicidesheep channels on youtube have a wide range of chillout, ambient and used to have quite a bit of dnb... still listen to those channels quite a bit as the channel is constantly adding new music.
Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?

Chillout + Drum & Bass = The Beloved - The Sun Rising (Tom Middleton's Drum & Bass Mix)

it's old and it's a classic and it's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of a combination of these two genres

Back to present. Personally, I am listening to ambient music (and that is not chill out, I agree) and bass music, though I prefer dubstep and garage these days. So, basically I am not closely connected to drum and bass (never was to be honest) but I enjoy listening to it every now and then.

The FabricLive series still is a platform for the d&b sound. You may check Fabriclive 70 Friction and FabricLive 68 Calibre. Both are from 2013 and received good reviews.

thanks mate, will do. I always seem to get in the mood for D&B around this time of year (winter time), literally every year. I was at a festival recently and there was a D&B dj and it sounded great, I actually found myself trying to dance to it .

Re: Are the Chillout and Drum & Bass Genres still around?

i find myself listening to dnb now more than ever. i do follow labels and other people on youtube that post dnb videos, also i pretty much only listen to dnb on my di.fm app, not a fan of any of the house channels.

specifically what i like is liquid dnb, thats the more chill side, and mix it with some amen breaks and im in heaven. but sometimes ill go into dark and heavy dnb when the mood strikes. check out di.fm if you havent already. i also have youtube playlist just on dnb.

Interesting, thanks Jay. I've noticed there is a ton on youtube from "liquid dnb."
