^ wow great pic and I'm pretty sure I was at this gig myself. I deffo saw Oakey at Ultra Vegas in MK (I'm only 25 miles away from MK so it was a relatively 'local' gig for me). I wonder if he ever played Ultra Vegas more than once? I was deffo at an event where Danny Rampling was in an upstairs room, whilst Tall Paul/Seb Fontaine/Judge Jules/Pete Tong were downstairs (in the room from the pic above).
I know I went to two Ultra Vegas nights at this venue - maybe Oakey was separate to Jules/Tong etc?
Anyway - both nights were quality - ah to be young again!
The Tong, Jules one was at the end of 1998, that one was Gatecrasher Meets Ultra Vegas.
^Excellent knowledge. How nostalgic to see that flyer, with all the venues where you could buy tickets from including the now defunct 'Soul Sense; in Luton where I got the tickets from. The days before e-tickets!
I stood and watched Rampling for about an hour, was very impressed with his mixing which was very smooth and his ability to build a set. The downstairs later to be destroyed by Oakenfold!
It was kinda funny. Seb Fontaine played "Till I Come" and everyone was blown away, saying what the fuck is this? 3 months later, no one wanted to hear it again.
Lol yeah I remember the hype around that track for months and then, as you say, everyone was sick of it by the end of summer 1999 (see also Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone - to a much lesser extent!)

1999, was a hell of a year for music. I could reel off 100's of great tracks from that year.
I do believe its cool since its some of the first pics of these two after more than a year of streams due COVID and 15 years from a gig together (could be wrong but at least 2006 was the last time they play here)
Not idea what this pic has to do with "stare at the dj" but whatever .. its a pic
There is a prime example of why you shouldn't stare at the DJ. Who the fuck wants to be reminded of COVID, when they are out clubbing? Not a cool pic.
This is in Mexico, pretty hard to ignore Covid.. And they really, really shouldn't be ignoring it.
Even if I wasn't a fan of Hernan's I would be giving him Kudos for setting a great example, while he protects whoever he comes into contact with !!!
I think it is super cool !!!
Another "what has that got to do with staring at the DJ ???"
Extra bummer I was going to use that next week with Resident
