Careful, certian people will start crying and throwing their toys around if u say things like that!

Personally I agree but have to admit that I am loving some of his recent stuff just as much now (e.g Kiss 3 Dec )

Re: John Digweed - Exposed @ Keele University, Stoke - 18-2-1999

        It is the same mix

the above pics of the album cover and scanned image of the cassette were taken by myself

i gave this to a pal ages ago when i bought it around the time, then finally got it back a few years later, encoded it immediately and dished it out to those that i spoke to via slsk

within days the 'keele university' labelled version of it was doing the rounds. Perhaps it was at the university that this set was actually recorded, but it was purchased as a double cassette under the V99 guise.

el phantom re-namer got on the scene on this one quick..........

whether digweed played the V99 festival is another question altogether
i dont really care anymore, all that does matter is the enjoyment and rushes i use to (and still) get from listening to the tunes on this particular mix

for whatever reason, the phantom only decided to rename the first part!?!?!?!?

Re: John Digweed - Exposed @ Keele University, Stoke - 18-2-1999

This Mix is definitely not from the V99 festival as this mix is most definitely from early 1999( it is similar to digweed sets from late 98 early 99 like the feel and Canada sets) and the V99 festival was in August 1999 when digweed was caning Science Department - Repercussion, Luzon - The Baguio Track, Cevin Fisher - Music Saved My Life, Christian West - Eterna and Bedrock - Heaven Scent. None of these are on this mix I think the mistake is on the cover of the mix tape in small print it says V03/99. But i don't think it is referring to the V99 festival but March 1999. I think this mix is actually from GOLDENS birthday @ Keele University, Stoke - 1999. I remember Carl Cox did one night Digweed did the other.

This subject just keeps coming back

Can't wait to hear this set!! Love all the prog sets from sasha and digweed between 96-99. Amazing time for dance music. Thanx for the set.

I'm with Chunky, he's rarely wrong anyhow when it comes to this vintage Digweed.

It was fun while it lasted...

This was one of a series of Mix tapes that carried the V Logo. I'm fairly sure they where all recorded at Golden events in and around Stoke. I'm fairly sure the Digweed tape where recorded at Golden's Birthday at Keele University Stoke On Trent 18-2-1999 as Digweed played one night and Carl Cox played the other. I also found some of the other tapes pictured bellow
