Always been a bit of an Indie kid on the side - britpop era stuff in particular (though not just the usual suspects, as much as I love Blur, Radiohead etc. - stuff like Scarfo & Whipping Boy too) as that was when I was in my late teens / early 20s and it therefore struck more of a chord.
Not the biggest fan of rap but appreciate a bit of Roots Manuva, Tribe Called Quest, Saul Williams.
Will listen to pretty much anything that's interesting either lyrically or in the way it's put together. Or both.
Guilty pleasure is the Pet Shop Boys. Them and Depeche Mode are the 2 bands I loved as a kid and still have a lot of time for these days. It's not hard to see how their sound fuelled my love of EDM which manifested itself in the likes of LFO, The Prodigy & Altern 8 in the early nineties. Haven't looked back since!
damn 90% of this on my ipod. also include U2, Coldplay, DM, New Order (nearly anything meaningful from the 80s and 90s)

Just this last week, pulled out a mix cd that I'd done a while back, I still love all these tracks on it
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Vertical Horizian - Everything you want
P.O.D. - Southtown
Oasis - Wonderwall
Matchbox 20 - Push
Loreena McKennitt - The Mummers' Dance
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
Fast Ball - The Way
Tool - Stinkfist
3 Doors Down - When I'm Gone
Creed - With Arms Wide Open
Stone Temple Pilots - Vasoline

Guys and Gals, I have to hurry/leaving for short-term vacations.
I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

Agreed. I think U2 & DM was my #1 fav for a very long time, then when Pearl Jam/grunge came on the scene, I started getting into the heavier side of rock ie. Tool, Staind, Living Sacrifice, Deftones and even ventured to the growlin kind of metal with my favourites being Zao and Norma Jean
I did forget to mention The Beastie Boys, always throw it in when I need something different.
Lot´s of reggae: Burning Spear, Marley, Alpha Blondie
Rock: Radiohead, DM, Ian Brown, Pink Floyd, Tori Amos, Sigur Ros, UNKLE, U2
Latin: Gustavo Cerati, Macaco, Ojos de Brujo, Anasol, Bomba Stereo, Pernett, Chocquib Town, Sidesteper
Jazz: Everything comming out from Keith Jarrett, Michel Camilo, Diana Krall, Stan Getz.
Classic Salsa: Lavoe, Hermanos Lebrón, El gran combo, Fania...
Ando some classical too... as long as is good music
