    KC Royals Gil Meche forfeits $12 Mil in Guaranteed money

    Saying he wanted to do the right thing, Gil Meche told the Kansas City Royals he did not want any of the $12 million due him in 2011 and retired from baseball.


    Wow what integrity. Only a baseball player would do something like this.

    Not true.

    Andrew Luck left way more on the table to go back for his senior year at Stanford vs. being the #1 pick in the NFL draft. Rookie cap coming next year, a move that basically cost him likely 30-50 million.

    "Integrity" isn't the first word i think of when i think of baseball. One guy, maybe, as a whole, copious amounts of LOL.
