I just can't get into tracks like this one. It's just too techy for my taste. It sounds lifeless and repetitive to me. I can maybe handle a couple of tracks like this tossed in sparingly through a set, but too much of it just bores me to tears.
For example, the new Pappa Moments 2 CD is absolutely dreadful. I can't even listen to it. I put it on and get a couple of tracks in, and just can't take the repetition anymore and have to skip forward. And the next track sucks, and so on and so on until I've skipped through the whole CD.
100% agree with this statement, I was so disappointed with that CD. Thank god I got it cheap on Amazon!

Bloody shame because I've really liked most of Anthony's other CDs.
I do like some techno tracks, don't get me wrong... but I just don't understand this techno kick the big guys seem to be on right now. The last time I saw Sasha & Digweed together was terrible, too. They bored the life out of me. No vocals. No melodies. They didn't go anywhere with the set.
its mad how everyone opinion is different....i think it one of the best sets he has done for along time. i take it your a dj??? beening a dj ruins the experience of a set....ure not listening ure judging..... some of the mixes in this set are 4mins plus long... sasha is not about tunes for me its the mixing.... there is no better.. and i dont think there ever will be

Reason: legend init
Listened to this twice and past it around to a few Sasha heads and we all agree that this is boring. Mixing etc aside, for which the guy is no doubt brilliant at.
I don't think I would say the mixing on this particular mix was all that special, either.
On many of his Ableton mixes I have noticed he tends to loop the outro portion of tracks for a long time instead of trying to ride the mix longer into the meat of the tracks. This results in a loss of energy in the transitions as too many elements of the individual tracks drop out or have not yet come in, leaving only kick drums and little else.
