Has anyone caught Fox News' new "Supreme Court Analyst" C. Boyden Gray? Un-fucking-believable that they would hire someone who heads an organization dedicated to getting Bush's nominees confirmed as their "analyst" on that very topic. Maybe they can hire Scott McLellan as their "White House Analyst" or Tom Delay as their "Congressional Analyst." Unbelievable, those people have absolutely no shame.

MSNBC is liberal???!?!?!?!? Are you insane?Originally posted by thesightlessthey are allowed to be biased when you have john stewart, al franken and the entire MSNBC org being blatently liberal/;.
Joe Scarborough was a Republican senator. His most frequent guest is Pat Buchannen.
Tucker Carlson now has a show just after that.
How about Hardball? When was the last time you heard anything negative about Republicans on this show?
How about Monika Crowley, who worked for Nixon?
How about when MSNBC fired Phil Donahue for being anti-war, even when his show had the highest ratings of any show on the network.
Keith Olberman, isnt liberal- he just isnt a cheerleader for Bush.
There is a big difference between not cheerleading, and being liberal. With the Right wing fully in charge of the major media, anyone who isnt cheerleading look- and is cast as- liberal.
Also, Jon Stewart is on A COMEDY SHOW! Not a news organization!
Al Franken- He is a radio show host. Oh, and he has a Sundance channel show. Wow, really a dominating presence...Peak OilComment

They have kept up the "fair and balanced" canard which is freaking ridiculous. I think you'd be surprised how many conservatives would dispute the fact that Fox News is blatantly biased towards conservatives. I have spoken with many that think that Fox News is telling the truth, while all of the other outlets who are labeled as MSM this week are lying.Originally posted by MJDubThis just in: The dinosaurs have died.

I see, so all of these years that we have heard conservatives complain up and down about how biased the media is and how unfair it is was not about the media being biased in general, but was about the media NOT being biased in their favor.Originally posted by thesightlessthey are allowed to be biased when you have john stewart, al franken and the entire MSNBC org being blatently liberal/;.Comment

I don't get my news from TV. The internet is a far better medium and allows me to get all of the different biased views to put together what I think the truth is.Originally posted by Balanc3So don't watch TV news, there is a reason its called "programming."

Re: More proof of Fox News' Blatant Conservative Bias
I wouldn't say Fox News is blatantly biased. They recently hired Gen. Wesley Clark as a military analyst and we know he's a Democrat. Many of the cable news channels have both liberal and conservative analysts to appear balanced.
I would agree that Fox News leans conserative like CNN and MSNBC lean liberal. Now, most talk radio is something that you can say is blatantly conservative.
Why be so angry too? Nearly all of the news sources including what's on the internet are biased somehow. So, to point at one news source while they're all biased isn't being rational. As for the internet, I'd be wary of relevance in news reporting. Lots of crap out there to mislead and aren't as scurtinized as closely as the big media outlets.
So, if Fox offends you, turn the channel to CNN, MSNBC, and read the New York Times Op-Ed page. And don't listen to talk radio either. Let the conservatives get the news they want to hear.Never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake - Napoleon BonaparteComment

im not for either side. i just said that they are allowed to do whatever they feel like. they could put up a ""liberals are evil" logo in the corner of the screen while they show CGI of hippies eating freshly aborted babies if they felt like it. they arent regulated other than language. think about the fact that farenheight" came out just in time for an election. no one tried to make that a balanced movie. they are in the business of selling Airtime, not informing you. Re: More proof of Fox News' Blatant Conservative Bias
Hiring Wesley Clark makes sense because of his background...would you have felt the same way if CNN had hired Clark as an analyst for the primary contest when he was running for president? It's just about the same thing when Fox News hires C. Boyden Gray as a Supreme Court analyst...he's involved in the fight. In fact, he is one of what is called the "Four Horsemen" and has a specific function in the upcoming confirmation battle. What do you think the conservatives would say if CNN or MSNBC hired Ralph Neas (head of People for the American Way) or Nan Aron (head of Alliance for Justice) or Kate Michelman (head of NARAL) as their Supreme Court analyst. We would have breathless screed from Malkin and Coulter from here to eternity.I wouldn't say Fox News is blatantly biased. They recently hired Gen. Wesley Clark as a military analyst and we know he's a Democrat. Many of the cable news channels have both liberal and conservative analysts to appear balanced.
Hiring Gray as their Supreme Court analyst is blatant bias.
Leans conservative is a bit of an understatement. They ARE conservative.I would agree that Fox News leans conserative like CNN and MSNBC lean liberal. Now, most talk radio is something that you can say is blatantly conservative.
Why so angry...because I am sick of hearing conservatives whine endlessly about how biased all of the media outlets are against them, while having outlets like Fox in their back pocket and treating them like they are not biased in the least. It's hypocrisy and pisses me off.Why be so angry too?
Fox stands apart because they perpetually push the canard of "fair and balanced," "we report, you decide." I would have no problem if they were up-front about their bias. It's the fact that they explicitly lie about their positioning that brings them front and center in my mind. Folks like Rush and Hannity on talk radio don't bother me because they are up-front about their bias and don't lie about being balanced. So, to point at one news source while they're all biased isn't being rational.
Agreed, which is why I think it's important to read stories carefully, think about them and watch how they play out. There's plenty of bias to go around. As for the internet, I'd be wary of relevance in news reporting. Lots of crap out there to mislead and aren't as scurtinized as closely as the big media outlets.
I don't watch Fox very often...I generally tune in when something like O'Connor retiring happens because I want to see what the republican talking points are going to be. To be honest, CNN and MSNBC are boring and I can't watch them. So, if Fox offends you, turn the channel to CNN, MSNBC, and read the New York Times Op-Ed page.
I enjoy talk radio as well...it's a great way to keep up with what lines of argument I'll be hearing on Fox. And do you actually think that talk radio has anything to do with the news????? It's frightening that people actually use it as their news source...it explains all of the nutjobs posting on hannity.com.And don't listen to talk radio either. Let the conservatives get the news they want to hear.Comment

Re: More proof of Fox News' Blatant Conservative Bias
I wouldn't have a problem with any of that either...if they dropped the fair and balanced canard. The diff between Fox and Farenheight was that Michael Moore, for all of his obese disgustingness, was up-front about what he meant for that film to do (i.e. beat Bush).Originally posted by thesightlessim not for either side. i just said that they are allowed to do whatever they feel like. they could put up a ""liberals are evil" logo in the corner of the screen while they show CGI of hippies eating freshly aborted babies if they felt like it. they arent regulated other than language. think about the fact that farenheight" came out just in time for an election. no one tried to make that a balanced movie. they are in the business of selling Airtime, not informing you.
