I'd have to go with John Edwards. I think John Kerry is a twat, but I am rather impressed with John Edwards. You can't make 200+ million practicing law in 20 years unless you're sharp.

First, Edwards didn't make that much money...he was a plaintiff's lawyer in North Carolina, which is not a state of the monstrous verdicts. His net worth is estimated somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 million (give or take a few mil).
Second, I think it's a toss-up as to who's smarter. They're both lawyers who have been extremely successful in their careers, both public and private. I'm just glad Kerry picked Edwards to be his running mate.Comment
