I'm in complete shock! After being dumped in 2000 by Williams for Montoya after one seson, Button who in my humble opinion has clearly been the man of this F1 season is, is leaving BAR and returning to Williams!

Jesus that is a bit of a shock. BAR seem to be making very good progress too. Well i`m not really bothered what car he drives as long as he beats that annoying funny shapped chin German. -

what a strange move
this is not what webber wants as number one status

Not convinced Webber will have number one status at Williams now. I can't see Button leaving BAR to play someones sidekick. . .
Anyway, over the years Frank Williams has often talked about not really having a number one and two at Williams, and that the drivers are more then welcome to race each other, as long as its for the glory of the team!Comment

Re:: F1 Shock horror. . . . . Button moves to Williams
FI has become a mindless boring procesion of fast cars around a track for a few hours
............... its got about as much excitment as watching paint dry very very slowly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bring back the days of Mansell, Damon Hill or Ayrton Senna
I would rather watch the world rally championship or for that matter any other sport on telly, including 'World Championship Painting'

"F1 Shock horror. . . . . Button moves to Williams"
was that it?
With that title I was hoping to read something like Schumacher declaring his love to Barrichello and both moving to a nudist island,,, or at least some pictures of Bernie Eccleston on some s&m action...
Last F1 race I saw... I fell asleep. As someone said before... Senna, Prost... those were the days... the black John Plasyer Special cars... those were races... :cry:Comment

That's what I call a selective memory. Granted there hasn't been much competition for wins this year, but last year was a completely different story- closest championship in history, 6 different race winners. Races back in the late 80s-early 90s were often just a boring, if not more so without the intrique ofmandatory pit stops. I suffered through many Senna wire-to-wire victories, not to mention Mansell's decimation of the field in 1992.Originally posted by YO75FI has become a mindless boring procesion of fast cars around a track for a few hours

As for WRC, yes it is great. But more exciting than F1? Perhaps, but in truth much the excitment there comes from the fact that you are watching a 1 hour highlight show, rather than every stange of each day. Watch an entire rally, I promise you it will be hard to stay away over the course of 3 days....
Now if you had said MotoGP, you would have had a point!

As for Button, if he can get his ass in the Williams, I think it was a smart move... however if BAR block his move it will be a major feck up, bye-bye team moral.Beats are my crack.Comment

Who cares, Schumacher wins everytime. I'm not going to watch it again until he retires or dies in a horrible crash in flames, whichever comes first.
F1 needs a competition-element...Ow, it's a race-competition you say? Damn, I thought it was just the same movie broadcast every 2 weeks or so...
