Well, this isn't really on the same page, but Bush has threatened to cut off white house access to media outlets that run stories critical of him and his policies (remember the Kitty Kelly book? or the investigations into Bush's guard service?).

Also, there's that whole flap about him wanting to bomb al Jazeera, if you believe that sort of thing.

actually i beleive that he would bomb al jazerra, so would i if it came down to a large scale war in the middle east and they kept broadcasting al queda missives. also, i would definetly take out mecca if those circumstances came to it.

Err, have i missed something here Sean? Since when did the BBC become something you yanks have power over?

I'm sure all those British Licence Fee payers who pay for their services will be pleased to know that their American brethren are now part paying for services of the beeb and their own inevitable brand of biased reporting
