^ Montreal is the place to be. Amazing music, clean and friendly city, beautiful people!
Phoenix Landing on sunday nights is phenomenal music, Def. check that out if you can. Also good on Wednesday nights.
Avalon can be hit or miss...some upcoming DJs are: James Holden, Danny Howells, Eli Wilkie, Felix da housecat, BBB, Tall Paul (the last two are eh hehe).
If you like Eli Wilkie, Steve Porter...they are often around, especially Eli. He is usually spinning one place or another almost all the time during the week.
RISE is awesome. Groovefire, John Debo, and some others are residents. Def. go to Virgin on Newbury St and see the electronica section for passes...
Thursday nights @ Axis is just starting back up with "Localized" all the local DJs will be there. Dj Dres, Noel, Tom Bartlett, I could go on..
PM me if you want more info or anything. Im only around on weekends though

Re: Clubs in Boston
head to www.squareoneboston.com You should be able to find lots of info there regarding what is happening.
Rise is a great place as well. It is an afterhours club in Boston. 1:30-6:30 Friday, saturday, and Sunday. Fridays are the nights to go. Rise is a member's only club, but you can usually score passes at Virgin megastore on Newbury st., satellite records, or someone at the square one boston site.
The phoenix landing is a chill pub in cambridge. Over the Charles on Mass Ave. I bel;ieve that there is house music on wednesdays and Sundays, and some sick drum n' bass on thursdays. Mark farina will be spinning there sometime soon.
go to www.avalonboston.com for more info on the club and its events. It can get a little dramatic on the messageboard, so watch out.
I will be heading back to Boston sometime in October. Looking forward to checking out the clubs.
and yes, Boston shuts down at 2aam. its the law, and yes it sucks, but there are always parties around.
Enjoy :wink:Leave a comment:

Re: Clubs in Boston
Check the dj schedule. When I went to Boston 2 years ago, Avalon was tops with Dave Seaman and Dave Ralph back to back nights, and yes they open early and close at 2. I think most of the clubs are in the same block right behind the green monster.Leave a comment:

Maybe check a few sites of some guys from the Boston area:
Looks like each has appearances at:
RISE
Q
Ultra Lounge (Providence, RI)
Phoenix Landing (Cambridge)
Also check www.squareoneboston.com for event information (the events tab is being reworked right now so just browse the forums).
Hope this helps.Leave a comment:

Clubs in Boston
my gf just started school in Boston so I'll be heading up there a few times. What clubs/lounges/venues/dj residents are there (preferrably progressive)? I know about Avalon but that's about it. And do they really close at 2:00?
thanks fer the help.....
