Everyone has to take into account how they treat people because humans are unpredictable. Everyone I come in contact I treat as an aquaintance and at least try to say something to help better their day because there's always some fuckhead who wants to make their day worse. Often times we forget how volatile people are.
I don't have the facts, so I try to refrain from formulating too many beliefs... That said, I suspect that some people could be just born nutty. People are born with physical abnormalities and even mental deformities. Parallel to that, one might reasonably expect that people could be born with some hormones or chemicals messed up in their heads and that it might pre-dispose them to be psychopaths... Societal factors certainly seem to play a big role...but I wouldn't just assume away the possibility of natural deformities as well.

Yep...said he was a total loner and was recommend to see a counselor due to some of the fucked up shit he wrote. He was also supposedly on medication for depression. Sounds pretty much like the Columbine guys, right? And you mean to tell me NO ONE saw this coming?

When I first heard about the multiple shootings at Virginia Tech yesterday, my first thought was about my friends, and my second thought was "I bet it was Seung Cho."

Cho was in my playwriting class last fall, and nobody seemed to think much of him at first. He would sit by himself whenever possible, and didn't like talking to anyone. I don't think I've ever actually heard his voice before. He was just so quiet and kept to himself. Looking back, he fit the exact stereotype of what one would typically think of as a "school shooter" – a loner, obsessed with violence, and serious personal problems. Some of us in class tried to talk to him to be nice and get him out of his shell, but he refused talking to anyone. It was like he didn't want to be friends with anybody.

ok everyone so check this out...perhaps not surprising, but:

That little fucker had EXACTLY all of the classic signs you'd expect in a person who is going to go nuts and shoot up a classroom.

Completely unfriendly and antisocial, angry a lot, obsessed with violence, wrote disturbing shit, some history of mental illness...you name it, it's there. Apparently he thoroughly creeped the hell out of everyone in his English class with his graphic and disturbing plays handed in for assignments...they even notified school administration about the stuff he wrote. And they all pretty much knew it was him before it was all even figured out and announced.

A year and a half before before Cho Seung-Hui went on a deadly shooting spree on the campus of Virginia Tech, a professor was so concerned about his anger that she took him out of another teacher's creative writing class and taught him one-on-one.

Here are links to 2 pretty graphic plays he wrote, along with commentary of a student who was in his class:

And he left the classic psycho letter at his dorm room where he expresses his hatred for pretty much everyone:

I guess it just goes to show you that there some things you can unfortunately count on when it comes to this kind of crap.

gun deaths in the US: around 50,000.

Please explain the difference without using gun control laws...

wow thats a very interesting fact you stated.....maybe those countries have the right idea.....
