Tony Blair has announced he will stand down as prime minister on 27 June. He made the announcement in a speech to party activists in his Sedgefield constituency, after earlier briefing the Cabinet on his plans.

personally, i liked tony blair. he's everything we needed in a president here in the U.S. i particularly liked watching Questions with teh PM on C-Span on sunday nights. Best reality TV show, imo.

Was to be expected that Tony would resignb now just after the NI break through. Nobody will (so clearly) remember the Britisch troops KIA in Iraq.
