this was the mix that got me into trance and electronic music in general way back when...
will always be a classic to me!

I was actually hoping for the Pete Tong set. It was one of the first sets I've ever listened to, and opened my eyes to this beautiful world of electronic music.

I remember the HOME one they gave Oakie the night off and he played Cream in Liverpool. He played a set very similar to the LA set. Mercury & Solace, Delirium Silence, Crazy Malumate etc

I was at Cream that night havin' it large with Oakie : ) whwn PVD was on, surprise myself with the memory

His EM from Home and 1997 studio set are better.

Blatant I'm on serious drugs post. I was at this night. It was appalling, PVD wears the emperors new clothes. There where at least 15 Essential mixes from 1999 alone better than this one.
