man there was ALWAYS some wack $hit there though...but seeing kids all cracked out in the corner was pretty disturbing too..and then the ones acting like they knew it all when it was probably only their 2nd rave they've ever been too

these days also up in NE every lineup looks the same half the time no matter who's throwing the party...so why go sometimes? :?
it looks the same cause 10 to one its a stuck on earth party,
local 13 been throwin some good partys...
SOE sucks. they always have been shady and has sucked. i always have been weary of their parties and its come to truition everytime. they can go fuck themselves everytime. whistle 4. lmfao! hope you have fun in one of the MANY e-puddles. thats what the guv sees and its sad.
Indeed...didn't they throw those massives down there too with like 239838947 DJ's on the lineup in which maybe 60-70% typically showed up?

Those are the ones I hate the most, unless it's a major festival overseas; THOSE are done right

    Re: raves..

I was fortunate enough to get the directions to an underground rave in Amsterdam last month. Those guys went all out! They located an underdeveloped building, annexed the basement, and actually did a lot of welding and painting before they were satisfied. The Polite (Coppers) didn't show up until 7 hours into the party, and never shut it down. My friend and I were in an unknown part of Amsterdam, far from our hotel, and surrounded by total strangers. Yet it appeared to be the safest place to be. The whole night reminded me of high school all over again. You know the feeling when you're being bad, but because you're underage you're invincible. That night was great, the people were chill, the beats were top shelf, and then...the come down.

I used to go to raves alot before I became 'of age' to get into clubs. I remember at my last one w/Keoki, Doc Martin...I was in high school. They were fun, to say the least, but I haven't visitied one since I left Florida. I think Zen fest was one of my last ones. But raves sorta disappeared a bit too.

miss raves like all hell... i hate clubs and i hate the people in clubs... most of them just want to fuck you or turn their nose up to you... its never a friendly crowd...

raves were fun cause everyone did have an element of respect involved and a light heart... made things fun... not to mention the music you could get away with... much more gratifying.

I go to more harder faster nights than I do prog tech house nights I like the energy levels, and atmosphere at these nights alot more.I tend to use prog house as my chill out music at home, the only exception to this is Bedrock which I always look forward to.

In Holland, raves have never really gone away.

Obviously depending on what you understand is a 'rave'. In summertime we can choose between a few raves per weekend. Some have managed to stay undergound, the larger part has commercialised and it's questionnable whether they can still be called 'rave'...

At the commercialised ones, you can see all sorts of people: old and young, hippie and skinhead, drugged and drunken....

In clubs in Holland there's probably a higher % on drugs... Personally, I love the big events. Mainly because of the atmosphere and the line up is normally quite good (last year on 1 event: Sasha, Digweed, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, Matthew Dekay, Markus Schulz.....)

Try to beat that in a clubnight!

I've been to some really good raves in the past years, and seen some awesome talent, but haven't been to hardly any since around 2000. Nowadays its a once-a-year event, Peloquin, myself and crew head up to Seattle for Freaknight on halloween weekend. But after a while, you just get too burned out on it all.

Good times, and usually good music, though. Truly the best environemnt to roll. :ROFLMAO:

Plus, who can deny the energy in an environment such as this:

Not sure you would call them raves but we have free outdoor parties every summer around Brighton, either on the Downs or on the Beach. The DJs who put them on are excellent, nice crowd, usually around 100. They are very skilled in avoiding the police, always clear up etc etc.

It is so nice to party outdoors and they are a welcome change from the corporate clubbing scene and all it entails!
