I turned down the trade - Portis just hasn't shown enough to make me want to toss Holmes. Thanks for the help gentlemen, hope it works out.

Our league trophy is a Jager bottle with each year's champion etched into it - here's hoping the Sticky Ickys make it on the Deer's Blood Cup!
Better look for a #3 back... As Onterio is on suspension and this just in:

The Associated Press is reporting that Tyrone Wheatley could be out 2-4 weeks with this shoulder injury.

Yeah, I'm a diehard fantasy player too... We do IDP which is so much fun, one linebacker, one defensive line, and one defensive back need to start each week...

I see two of you considering Clinton Portis...
As a beltway-born Redskin fan til death, and having Direct TV for the sole reason of watching every 'Skins game, I must strongly suggest keeping Portis if you can. Yes, the 'Skins are off to a sluggish start. Yes, so is Portis. BUT...Portis is still getting used to the Joe Gibbs running game...lots of pulling & countering. He is just now starting to wait for the play to develop. There is a long list of running backs, one already in the Hall of Fame, that thrived in this running game, and Portis may surpass them all. This is Emmitt Smith (bastard Cowboy!) all over again, but new and improved and faster, and in a better running system.
The second half of the season will be huge for Portis. He will put up fantasy numbers. And the 'Skins will never abandon the running game. So, if you don't have him, find out who does, offer up somebody they need, and get him 'packaged' in because 'well, he's really not doing too good'.

    Give up:

    Holmes & Moulds

    Get

Stallworth, Portis, Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne?

    :What:
NO WAY!! I'll tell you why... Holmes and Moulds are top 10 material (with Holmes arguably the best RB in fantasy).... Stallworth and Wayne are and will be the #2 man on their teams.... Hell, Stokely on the Colts is the hot commodity on that team.... Most of those guys could have been picked up on the waiver..

Moss is good and so is Portis but I don't see them creating as large an impact on a weekly basis... Also will you have to drop anyone from your current roster to fill 4 spots for 2? You could never get me to take that trade... Perhaps if it was Randy Moss and Clinton Portis for Holmes and Moulds, but I'd seriously pass on the offer you have available...

Your team looks to be solid, nice trio for starting QB, RB, WR... How many do you have to start a week for RB/WR? Can you do the fun and gun (3 wide and 1 back)?

well he said openly in an interview in SI.com that he wants to play for Oakland because he is closer to home. i believe he's from the SD area. but we'll see where the Dolphins send him. The Bucs don't really have a guy they can part with for an even trade. i hope he becomes a Raider.

well it wouldn't be this season. he would be eligible to be back july 25th or something like that. and when he does come back it won't be with the Dolphins because they won't him him back so they'll trade him. he will most likely be a Raider next season.

    i wouldnt do it yet.
to early in the year for portis yet.

check out what the season total in points is for those players & see if it adds up to trading.

thats the best thing to do.

giving up the priest is a hard thing to do, considering his team looks to him to make something happen since his team blows this year so you have an opportunity to do well with him. dominic davis is tha man! (i'm a biased lsu fan though). give him a chance to blossom. Donte Stallworth is the shit (biased new orleans fan), but he isn't doing quite as much as i hoped this season (or as anyone hoped for that matter... joe horn is still the big "go to" guy for the saints). of course santana moss is good, but you already have a couple good WRs. don't make the trade, imo.

Well here's who I have on offense:

    QB - McNabb & Boller

WR - Mason, L. Coles, Moulds, Branch

RB - P. Holmes T. Wheatley, Onterrio Smith, Dominic Davis

    TE - A. Crumpler

My only concern is the Clinton hasn't been putting up very good numbers lately, and I'm already pretty weak at RB outside of Priest. I'm ranked #2 right now 6 points behind the leader, but with McNabb and Holmes on a bye week I'm going to be hurting for points.

Should i pull the trigger on this one or stick with what I got?

what do you guys think of giving up Clinton Portis for Tiki Barber. . . do you guys think that it is still early in the season and hold on to Portis???
    Barber has been awesome recently.
