^^^Now that was not nice at all. He never played again and he now has one leg shorter than the other. They may be paid millions to play but they can get a injuries from time to time.Leave a comment:

that really sucks!
Even if he heals ... it won't be as good as new, def. gonna leave a mark, n' he won't play as good as he used to play..
really sad.

The odd thing about this is that the next day,in the changing room of my sunday team, we were all talking about this, saying how we hope it never happens to us - 60 minutes into our match it happened to our centre midfielder-he snapped his leg in three places above the ankle after going in for a 50-50 ball. He's still in hospital after two operations to put his leg back together.Absolutely gut-wrenching i tell you.Hes pushing 40,so the likelihood is that he will never play again now.Leave a comment:

Re: Cisse's leg break...
The players of Blackburn Rovers are all slaughterers.
Last season Milan Baros and Jamie Carragher injured at Ewood, and now Djibril. I'm very sad about this.

Made me sick seeing it. Poor bastard, such an innocuous challenge too. Steven Warnock (Liverpool youngster) had a very similar injury, and he's just broken into the first team, so fingers crossed for Djibril.
Last year against Blackburn Liverpool had two players break legs. I really hope Blackburn go down this year cos I don't want to go back there again next year!Leave a comment:

From what i heard yesterday the operation was succsesfull so he may be back for next season. You never know with injuries like this though because he may get some complications later on. Good luck to the fella i say, i`d like to have seen a bit more of him.Originally posted by simonrLiverpools Ewood injury junx returns.
A very very nasty break .. can't see him returning to football from this (although Henrik Larsson had a similar injury and came back ok).Leave a comment:
