if we keep saying, "guns don't kill people; people kill people", then shouldn't we also say "toasters don't toast toast; toast toasts toast"?Leave a comment:

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens
Well living in Nevada, where Shosh resides as well, it is pretty common for gun owners to have personal concealment permits might go hand in hand with all the money floating around the city at any given moment, second of all the culture in Vegas is a bit old wild west style, there are plenty of other counties in Nevada that find driving around with a loaded shotgun in the truck practical. While getting past all the potential stereotypes, a lot of my friend really just enjoy going out to shoot their guns, there is plenty of open space out from the city, where I can participate in firing assualt rifles, shotguns, and high powered handguns. I admit there was some of unease at first when try some shooting, but there is a bit of power that makes you want to shoot some more, blow up can, computer screens, the same kind of crap kids would do with bb guns as teenagers, having a handgun myself took a while to get use to in fact it stays locked up most of the time for fear if I should get really whacked out on drugs or get paranoid my old lady might use it on me, sounds weird, but I grew up around white trash people who use to settle their differences in that manner, anyway, Firearms provide me with a twisted sense of stress relief and power for the legality issues, guns do kill many people, but so is heart disease, strokes, cancer, all various forms of substance abuse, the large black layers of pollutions over most of the industrialized places in the world. Just never hang around with people on drugs who are drunk, with firearms in the house, so basically if Shosh invites over for drinks you should be weary.Leave a comment:

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens
i dont own one but my parents own a lot.
i dont see myself owning one in the near future but i might get one for home protection when i get older and get my own place.
my dad hand made a rifle when he was younger, so i will definitely take that when he keels over for sentimental value.Leave a comment:

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens
I generally tend to disagree with you but this is spot on.i owned a gun. i have a carrying permit for a handgun in NY state and FLorida. this has nothing to do with protection of home, ganster nonsense, or anything else.
i was often carrying large amounts of cash for clients in regards to payroll and deposits when i worked in accounting. honestly, i think i carried it three times and never had more than a bullet. after awhile of not using it, i realized i have a better chance of being hit by lightning and i wasnt operating in harlem. i turned it in to the police and told them to sell it for charity.
i have a odd POV on guns. BAN ALL HANDGUNS. simple all out ban. only let manufactrurers sell to police and military.
allow large rifles. hunting shotguns, etc. you cant hide these, they provide the same protection for the home. and people have the right to hunt. i love hunting.
but anything that can be hidden in a jacket or pants should simply not be allowed.
p.s. my family owns tons of weapons but we only ever use rifles... for hunting. I think nobody fired a handgun for about ten years.Leave a comment:

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens
I usually am not one to speak my mind. But on the issue of guns I can not help it.
What reason are guns made for? Murder and mayhem?
I mean I just bought a gun specifically designed for duck hunting. I shoot it at ducks. DUCKS!! Just so you know I hit maybe one out of every fifty that fly in. Every one who owns a gun is not some hillbilly ready for the revolution. .
Some one must load the gun. Aim the gun. And Fire the gun.
People kill people. Not guns!!!!!!!!
It is better to have a gun and never have to use that gun. Then to not have a gun and find yourself in a position where that gun might save your life and that of your family.

I am not jumping to conclusions, I am responding to actual words typed here. As I said before, I am not being judgmental! I just want things to be better than they are, and the only way that can happen is if people look forward instead of backwards. All the way through this I have been putting up facts and responding to the actual things people say. No assumptions at all! And trying to keep on actual topic.^ another vain assumption.
appearances are usually deceiving.
you can't jump to conclusions/pass judgments and make hints that a person is living in denial, or about what they actually think, know and do -- across the internet.
i for one am not justifying killing or in denial of the reality of the issue. in fact, i'm unduly sympathetic and conscious in full with the sorrow. it is sickening what chaos and atrocities are ensuing the world over, due to firearms.
those pic were for the laughs btw.
sry.
When people chose to say there isn't a problem when the facts and figures clearly say there is, don't you think that is denial?? Go back objectively and see how many people have chosen not to address the real issues.
If this is the way you feel we are essentially in agreement. It's a shame you didn't put this up earlier, because I can only base my responses on what you have said here. Wouldn't want to make assumptions would we. ?i for one am not justifying killing or in denial of the reality of the issue. in fact, i'm unduly sympathetic and conscious in full with the sorrow. it is sickening what chaos and atrocities are ensuing the world over, due to firearms.Leave a comment:
