good for federer, but i was rooting for andy. i think federer was playing it down in the interview because the media has been making such a big deal about him being the best ever. he was just trying to be humble especially in front of pete sampras. i don't tihnk he said anything inappropriate.
i hope andy responds in US Open, but i have a feeling this is going to sting for a long time. he's already pulled out of Davis Cup sighting a hip injury.

Roddick eventually losing even though he was up 6-2 in the second set tiebreaker was the heartbreaker... he did admirably, and then some more, to even battle for a 5th set that pretty much went into a 7th set. That was so gut-renching seeing Roddick lose.
Much respect for Federer's accomplishments, but I didn't like how staged that 15 logo on the zip-up jacket was.Comment
