Well it looks like oil is on a rocket ship going to the moon. I am pretty sure that it is going to go to between $150-200 by the end of 2011.
Expect $5-$6 per gallon in the US.

I don't think Libya has anything to do with the US stock market. That being said I think that the oil from the middle east will be cut off eventually if this keeps up. Then you will see it effect the stock markets.
I think the stock market is going down because jobs are actually being created. The stock market doesn't like this.Comment

Libya is not exactly a huge player in the market. It doesn't directly affect the USA.

^This is 100% true, but it isn't based at all on the percentage of oil a country exports to the US as a direct cause of oil to go up if that country is having problems. Note the last go round Israel had a while back and prices went up. It is exactly what Jenks said, unstable middle east = market speculators get worried = prices go up.Comment
