    Release Notes:

    01. Silicone Soul - The Call Of The Wild (The Pulse EP) [Soma Records | SOMA253]

Soma is excited to bring you a delicious taster from Silicone Soul's forthcoming, and as yet untitled album. Due for release in 2009, it will be their fourth artist album in what will be their 10th Anniversary year.

'The Pulse EP' is a wonderful four track release that showcases brilliantly where the boys are at right now with their sound. Lead track 'The Pulse' comes in both its original 'Hypno House Dub' and 'Darkroom Dub' versions. The HHD is a beautiful deep affair, with a drive that is perfect for the floor. Lush synths wrap around the delicate bass-line and an old skool vocal completes a perfect production. The DD mix, ditches the original’s bass-line and goes for a more tribal route. Killer stuff!

'The Call Of The Wild' is something completely different but equally as potent. A killer drum pattern builds the track which then drops into a beautifully melodic break. The track builds again dropping back into the awesome riff. This is special!

To round off the package, the guys have drafted in one of their current, favourite production teams 'Mlle Caro and Franck Garcia', who give their wonderful take on 'The Pulse'. Stripping it back and rebuilding with a mixture of electronic and live instrumentation and percussion, they have created an extremely special production.

    Release date: 17 Nov 2008

    02. Herbie And Thieves - Track B (Demons EP) [Van Liebling Recordings | VLR013]

As both a producer team and as solo artists, herbie. and thieves are a force to be reckoned with. Having musically matured in hip hop and hardcore punk, their paths crossed in Berlin in late 2012. And that was pretty much, when they decided to collaborate and create electronic music that – in spite of being geographically rooted in Berlin – takes cues from a diverse set of international, deep and sophisticated electronic music, that goes way beyond your regular, contemporary, run-off-the-mill Berlin deep-house track.

The work of herbie. and thieves is about detailed, lush arrangements, rather than about instant gratification; it’s about drawing inspiration from artists like John Roberts and dntel, rather than from generic dance-floor tracks du jour. Because after all, there’s a beating heart at the centre of every thing that has a soul…”

"Demons is released, grab a copy at your favourite dealer. Already working on some more stuff which will be released in july and september Got some reviews of the last release, they made me very happy so I'd like to share this" [Herbie]

    // Luciano (Cadenza) - 4/5
// Marc DePulse (Noir Music) - “Very nice EP!” - 4/5
// Animal Trainer (Hive Club) - “just started daydreaming while listening to track B...so catchy :-)” - 5/5
    // acidpauli (Kater Holzig) - A+B = \ \:\ / /:/ - 5/5
    // Ramon Tapia - “track b is nice ! will try” - 4/5
// Nils Nürnberg - “Track A is great. Could be a last track in an early morning set. THX” 4/5
// Micky Beer - “what should i say? awesome, brillant, reduced, dreamly, trippy and sooo adult, no edm shit...brillant! two pieces of warm tragedy dub techy shit.” - 4/5
// MiniCoolBoyz - “too deep for us , but good sound!” 4/5

    03. Martin Eyerer - Bloop (The Foo EP) [Leena Music | LEENA036]

Martin Eyerer Since more than 20 years Martin Eyerer travels heavily around the globe as a dj and producer. His more than 100 releases on the hottest labels like Rennaissance, Buzzin Fly, Great Stuff, Boxer, Audiomatique or logically on his own imprint Kling Klong are bought and played on continents from Australia, Asia to North and South America and of course Europe. Countless sales and other chart positionings as well as media feedback prove that impressively.

As a producer Martin has something to show as well: Gold Albums in UK and Australia and a top 3 US Billboard chart ranking have a great effect here. As a mixing and mastering engineer Martin runs a respectable analog studio since 15 years, which has an established standing specially in the electronic music scene. Among his clients are labels and artists like Mobilee, Watergate Recs, Terminal M, Keine Musik, Stil Vor Talent, Break New Soil, Pan-Pot, Oliver Koletzki, Wankelmut and many more.

After moving from Stuttgart to Berlin in August 2012 Martin and his partners Jade Souaid and Tassilo Ippenberger opened together the Riverside Studios - a 1000 m2 complex in the heart of Berlin. With direct river view and the neighborhood to clubs like Bergahin, Watergate, Kater Holzig, Tresor or Weekend it became one of the hotspots of Berlin's music scene. Tennants of its 15 studios like Booka Shade, Pan-Pot, Tobi Neumann, Sante, Florian Meindl, Stephan Hinz, Alex Flatner and a few film composers make this complex that special and successful. Of course Martin has his space there, too. On 100 m2 he brought his studio to the next level.

The restoration of his legendary Amek M 3000 Console that was formerly owned by Pink Floyd in the seventies completed it surely. By the end of 2013 Martin Eyerer starts to work on his 3rd long player including interesting and already confirmed cooperations withPrincess Superstar, Abby, Knixx and Ruede Hagelstein. End 2014 the album will be released on Martin's very own label Kling Klong that has just brought out the Ibiza hit 2013 "Ninetoes-Finder" (incl. Martin Eyerer rmx).

Before this, a few other new releases will put out on the following labels by Martin: Out in May an new release on Highway recs incl a Nathan Barato rmx, one on Saved Recs in June, Get Physical 2 singles mid 2014, one Release on Ovum together with Markus Homm coming this year, a Leena single in summer and a follow up to his maybe biggest club record so far: ''Eyerer& Chopstick- Haunting." Which will be called Rockmachine and released in summer as well.

    Release date: 16 May 2014

    04. Mihai Popoviciu - Stay (Time EP) [Poker Flat Recordings | PFR 148]

More exquisite heat from one of the most consistent producers out there. Mihai Popoviciu has been racking up an enviable discography in the past few years, as releases on Highgrade, Hudd Trax, Bondage Music and Popcorn Records testify.

This, his latest outing on home-from-home Poker Flat, suggests we may yet have the best to come.

'Time' is a low-slung slice of electronic funk, featuring a dirty bass line and lazy, growling synth skirmishes. The feeling is tech-y, underground and analog - a perfect vibe for the Romanian's killer grooves.

'Stay' drops a gear and cruises into even deeper territory. The melodies entwine to build a lush deep house groove, punctuated by a wonky lead and punchy, insistent drums. Popoviciu manages to hold plenty back, before unleashing a fierce drop.

'Paper Box' maintains the stripped-down sound design, leaving plenty of space for Popoviciu's signature synth squiggles, stabs and fragments of melody. The result is a slick, grooving piece of futurist dance music.

Beatport customers also get an exclusive additional track- the highly charged, deeply narcotic 'Turn'. Dropped at the right moment, this is going to destroy a few late night parties like nothing else.

    05. Chopstick & Johnjon feat. Signaljacker - Roots (Sasse Remix) [Suol Ltd | SLTD001]

Just two wonderful vinyl only remixes! dreamy & moody, for those moments like rising or setting sun, perfect for the coming open air season.. no digital sales, promotion or sharing! 180Gr Vinyl, antistatic innersleeve, shrinker.

    Released by: SUOL
    Release date: 22 March 2014

Suol is an independent Berlin based record label, which strives to develop, support and promote the visions of the founders and artists. Stylistically seen, Suol aims to release deep, grounded and organic music with great emotions. Suol has become a caring home for artists such as Fritz Kalkbrenner, Till von Sein, Trickski, Daniel Bortz and Chopstick & Johnjon who all feel at ease to release their music because of it's sophisticated musical continuity, which is crucial to Suol.

    Original released as Suol048 :

"After one whole year without a full release, Chopstick & Johnjon are now back on track, sending out the first vanguard of their upcoming debut album. For ‚Roots’ they team up with Signaljacker a.k.a. Chris James of the infamous UK-Band Stateless (Ninja Tune, !K7).

The title track comes in two different moods - the dreamy, almost melancholic Original Mix plus the rather bright Alternative Mix, spreading a whiff of Summer, still never undermining the intensity and genuineness of James´ vocals."

    06. Douglas Greed - Summerless (Mooryc Remix) [Bpitch Control | BPC287]

Douglas Greed has proven several times that he's one of the most aspiring and entertaining German producers. Whether his euphoric live shows with friends Nagler and Kuss or recently with his jacking Fake EP on BPitch Control its impressive how he brings his passion for shimmering melodies, his whimsy for catchy sounds and the functionality of his tracks in a pleasurable balance.

Before the original version of the track Summerless will be featured on the forthcoming BPitch Control album, the track now comes in six different interpretations.

Shinedoes Invaders Remix comes to business very fast by building a bouncing bass line, iridescent beats and a pleasantly fresh retro charm around the cut-up vowel vocals. Greeds own remix perches on a gripping climax while the bass-heavy dance pleasure is of paramount importance. Fun, games and excitement three ingredients that always define his sound.

The Spaniard Hector Cuoto presents his HDRmx of "Summerless" in a classic-driven Chicago-style: the melodic figure is not only lowered down, the solid claps and a flirting bass line turn his version into a floor hit.

The Polish producer Maurycy Zimmermann aka Mooryc is currently working with Douglas on their joint debut album as Eating Snow. But before the fruits of their liaison are harvested, Mooryc sets his hand twice on Summerless and shows two of his talented facets: While the "Mooryc 2 Rmx" with its dreamy pop appeal involves both guitars as well as his typical broken beats, his second version displays he always has the floor in mind too even if the vocal cuts are pitched down, the track just rise one desire: please more!

Last but definitely not least, the congenial duo Tuff City Kids serve a true house gem: Gerd Janson and Philip Lauer just marginally loop the vocal cuts, because the delay on the sparkling chords will take care for everyones endorphin boost. Before their remix ends with a bass-driven crescendo you're welcomed in some percussive tête-à-tête quality music all over the place. Feel-good house with brains and emotion.

    Release Date: 18.04.2014

    07. Joy Wellboy - Before The Sunrise (Kiki Tension Dub) [Bpitch Control | BPC286EP]

Since last year, Joy Adegoke and Wim Janssens aka Joy Wellboy belong to our BPitch Control family. In addition to their contribution for the "Where The Wind Blows' compilation, the debut record "Yorokobi's Mantra' was one of the highlights for BPC in 2013. After their single "Mickey Remedy', the opener of the LP "Before The Sunrise' now comes in four different versions.

The Tension Dub version of BPC veteran Kiki equip the original with its downtempo drive and poppy flair with a pumping attitude, while the spiral synths and a proper bass structure will pull you clearly towards the dance-floor. Kiki's second remix transform pop into deep house and with the emphasis of the lyrics - What if this is happening', he caters for a nice phantasm - somewhere between absent- mindedness and doubt.

The remix of Dixon may be listed already for the best-of lists 2014. The co-founder of berlin-based label Innervisions and magic bullet speaking of remixes, emphasises not only the dreamy side of the original, but let his trademark sound unfold that distinguishes his much celebrated sets: a glorious melody, the vocals of Joy and this Dixon warmth, fed by pathos and romance. Focus on the yearning supplication of Joy's wonderful timbre - we're simply melting away!

In addition to the radio edit of 'Before The Sunrise', the interpretation of Matthew Patterson Curry aka Safety Scissors knows how to spread his talent. In order of a sweeping climax he passes on the vocals, because before sunrise nothing is more important than to enjoy the here and now. Carpe diem!

    Release Date: 23.05.2014

    08. Pablo Bolivar - I Would Try To Make This (Visions EP) [Seven Villas | 7V001]

Visions sounds fresh and exiting just like a spring night. Pablo Bolivar shows us on this Club EP his guile and experience when it comes to Deep Tech House production. 'What to do' and 'I would try to make this', and their respective 'Deep Visions' remixes, will be suited equally to the beach as it will be the most picky dance floors around the globe. 'Visions' is a perfect realisation of Pablo's intentions.

    10. Fur Coat - Together (There’s No Time EP) [Hot Creations | HOTC044]

Making their first appearance on the label, Venezuelan deep house masters Sergio Munoz and Israel Sunshine aka Fur Coat are the next to release on the mighty Hot Creations. Title track ‘There’s No Time’ sees the darker side of the talented duo for an epic experience on the dance floor with deep growling bass-lines complemented with powerful electronic keys and dramatic builds. On the B-side Hot Creations favourite wAFF delivers a stellar and storming ‘Warehouse Remix’ picking up the pace with added vocals and percussion, packed with all the sonic energy we have come to expect from the young producer.

Last up the Fur Coat duo deliver another golden original. ‘Together’ takes it deeper once again with a rumbling bassline and hypnotic synths and keys flowing through the layers to stimulate the senses.

Fur Coat previously remixed Russ Yallop’s ‘The Crossroads’ followed by their debut EP ‘Space Ballad’, featuring an unforgettable edit by TEED. However it would be their release ‘You and I’ featuring vocals from Cari Golden that would put the name Fur Coat on the map. At the end of 2012 they released their huge debut album ‘Mind Over Matter’ on Crosstown Rebels, with further ventures on labels such as Bpitch, Rebellion, Southern Fried Records, Noir, Get Physical and My Favorite Robot.

wAFF has rapidly gone strength to strength in the past few years after being taken under the wing of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed. First coming to everyone’s attention with the huge ‘Jo Johnson’ EP, wAFF has gone on to acquire a heavy touring schedule and his more recent ‘Puke It Up’ EP released on the label only cemented his career in the industry further. Alongside his home label wAFF has also been releasing and remixing for labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Resonance Recordings and Rinse.
