The days of buying a Global Underground, listening to the tracks and finally Id-ing the tracks that you had been hearing in the clubs for previous months, then listening to it for weeks, months and years later are long gone. Shan't be buying! There's no point when you can get so much for free.

GU is basically a book seller that gives you a couple of free Cd's when you buy the book now.

Being an accountant, I would really love to know the monetary figures behind these releases. Income from sales, cost of sales, net profit etc.

I look at some CDs that are released and just cannot see how they break even let alone make any money?

It's easy, they pay fuck for the tracks on the cd, bung the DJ 10k and include a book, key ring and a beer mat for £50.
