Sennheiser´s are good in that price range. Not a big fan of Sony myself.
I´ve never listened to them, but I´ve been said that KOSS make good headphones and not expensive at all.
Just my 2 cents... let me know your final choice, I like this audio stuff. I´m a big fan of Grado headphones thanks to Didi, and I stick to them, but I think they start at usd80 or something like that.
I have been going through a headphone thing over the last few months. Because I have had a hearing problem caused by my chronic sinus infection. the only way I can hear music properly is with headphones. My hearing is really distorted in my left ear. I Which used to be my best ear have been trying to find something to replace my street egrados that they don't seem to be making anymore. The big ones are just too big to wear around all the time. I have bought Sennheiser , not that good and not that comfortable. Koss reasonable eound , but the most uncomfortable headphones I have ever worn. A pair of Grado iGe3 in ear with amazing sound. But they fall out of my ears Then I found a case with a pair of apple headphones in my electronic drawer. I must have got them with an ipod or iphone at some stage. But have never used them . They sort of sit in my ears ., and they sound lovely . I can run with them !! I went looking to find out more about them and they are soooo cheap. less than $20 They are meant for iPhones but I am using with my Classic 5.5 gen enhanced iPod and they just sound amazing. Listening to Nicolas Rada resilience at the moment.
Back to yours, How good were the ones that broke ??

Simply does not get any better than Hernan
I wish I could find the same quality (good sound, not too quiet, not loud) for 50/60 eu. But, again, Amazon's reviews are confusing. Five stars here, "too quiet" or "not for home listening" there.
It looks like you're looking for a wired headphone?
I have a wired B&W P7 I could give you free. It's brand new as far as I know, I didn't even try or use it—I received it in error*. The Bluetooth version that I use is considered one of the best, discontinued Bluetooth headphones. (And I've read it sounds even better wired.)
Let me know and I'll check shipping first, dunno how much that costs these days with tracking; and if international shipping is trustworthy—I did receive packages from France and Germany, they seem to be shipping on time.
Otherwise I find head-fi to be a great resource for audiophiles and recommendations.
*I wanted a spare wireless P7, only to find out it's wired after receiving it. The person refunded me without taking the headset back.

Oh. My. God. James absolutely obliterated the island tonight. The last time there was so much destruction, Obi Wan Kenobi had to take a seat on the Falcon after the Death Star said "hi and bye" to Leia's homeworld.
I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.
in home only or will you be using mobile? If the first, highly recommend Grado, open back headphones. otherwise, Sennheiser probably your best bet in that $ range. here are some suggestions from Massdrop..

Headphones with history. The HD 58X uses Sennheiser’s new 150-ohm drivers, has a glossy black headband and gray metal grilles. These open-back headphones continue to please many ears at an unbeatable price.
