I have a fondness for this one. It was the first time that I saw him live. I was in Ibiza and had just seen Sasha at Ushuaia. It was too early to go home on account of the class A's. From the roof Ushuaia you can see Space, so I said fuck it and went to space. Fatboy Slim was doing the Discoteca, so I went to the Terrace a place of many memories from the old days. Joris had just come on and was brilliant. I could not believe it when I got home and found it had been videoed. There was also an Italian DJ, Ralf, playing some serious techno with trumpets and all sorts. That was one of my top 10 nights out ever. I spent well over a grand that night but did not give a shit. When I got home, I cleared the credit card with some of my rainy day savings without even a thought.

I'm up in the mountains now for a week listening to the Balance comp - stunningly awesome music, as well as going through the youtube channel suggestion. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about going through a dj's catalog of work.

What I particularly like is that he's not afraid to keep a track in his record box for a while, and play it out a few times. It's always nice to hear a set that has a few familiar tunes IMO. The track 'Little Darling by March is a good example - he's played that a lot in the past 12 monthsComment
