I have faith that good overcomes evil and that people know right from wrong. But I don't put my faith in others. It's up to the individual to affect the whole, not the other way around. Have faith in yourself, love yourself. If you don't you won't ever have faith in others or love others. You get what you give. You lose faith in others, you've probably lost faith in yourself.

More loving acts than telling someone to go love themselves is telling them you love them & then actually loving them.

Have you ever really felt better about yourself when anyone told you to love yourself? No. It doesn't work that way. Of course, loving oneself is a great thing, being told to is something quite the opposite.

Could it be, the ease at which you tell someone to love themselves is a direct reflection of the difficulty you have in loving them, or anyone? It’s saying “Do yourself what I cannot/will not do.” “Love yourself for me, I’m inadequate at love.” is what that advice feels like. While self love is crucial, loving others exhibits that inherent ability to love ourselves. Being told “Love yourself,” although a pertinent concept, is quite the opposite of what any loving human being wants/needs to hear/feel regarding love. No? Consider:
