Dispatches is an excellent book... probably the best one about Vietnam and the basis for many a film dialogue.

      I am reading

Yeah I was hooked into it for sure. The Tim Page one i started about a year ago but never really got into. After reading Dispatches though i kind of got into the Tim Page one more easily.

          Recently read:

          Little Hands Clapping
          by Dan Rhodes.
          little-hands-clapping.jpg
^^^Fantastic. Entertaining, a bit of a quick read, but the characters are wonderfully detailed. Lovely stories behind all faces.

Apathy and Other Small Victories by Paul Neilan
          9780312352196.jpg
^^^Really good... Funny and realistic. The main character seems to be a basic sketch of a 21st century Holden Caulfield, but caring even less.

          Currently reading:

The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery
          33091529.jpg
Not sure how I feel about this one. Only 60 pages in, and I've started reading instead...

The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson
          The_Years_Of_Rice_And_Salt.jpg
          Too early to tell.

          Future reading:

          Replay by
          Ken Grimwood
          Ken-Grimwood-Replay.jpg
...based on a recommendation. Premise seems like it might be repetitive, but I'll give it a shot.

          The Dragonriders of Pern
          by Anne McCaffrey
          dragonriders_of_pern__frontcover_large_P7pCOPk2KaQ2mG7.jpg
A whim, basically. I remember reading a couple of her books when I was a kid, so I thought perhaps I could start at the beginning and see if it's good enough to commit myself to reading the entire series.

Started The Hobbit 2 days ago - it was on the bookshelf (my girlfriends side) and I was bored. Cant say I'm overly impressed so far, but it will be nice to say I've read it.
