    Re:: NOMAR TO CUBS

    Thank god my Twins got rid of Dougie Baseball. I wish him the best in Boston, but he has stunk it up at the plate all year long. Our new first baseman Justin Morneau will hopefully put us over the top in the AL. The Twins beat the Red Sox two games to one over the weekend! Oh, why did the BoSox get rid of Nomar? Was't he thought of as one of the best players in baseball the last couple of years?

      nomar hated the management in boston. he didn't want to be there anymore and the players didn't want him there any more. he'll play well with the cubs.

        the dodgers traded minor leaguers for steve finley. didn't get randy johnson. they also traded away about a fifth of their team since friday.
        the dodgers fucked themselves HARD... they might as well give the pennant to another team. they traded some of their solid players for a hopeful pitcher and an AA pitcher in hopes of getting johnson. the only problem is, they didn't get johnson, hahahaha...... big mistake on LAs behalf.

                It's been reported here that the Yankees wilt to get ace pitcher Kevin Millwood from the Phillies and Larry walker from the Rockies.

                      I'm pretty sure it will happen bucko due to the fact the Trade deadline is over but it can and will happen via WAIVERS.

                      The Star Ledger NJ reports that the Phillies and Rockies are willing to put both Millwood and Walker to unload their big paychecks and Yanks are willing to pay.

                        well, you didn't say waivers bucko.

                        Yanks buying up more talent, and will end in the same result as last year.

                          I dont follow baseball too much, but it does seem like the Yanks are always trying to just buy world series trophies, seems a bit lame to me.

                            ^it is a bit lame.

                            and they it's not doing them the justice like it has in the past.

                            plus they're sacrificing their future as they've traded away a hell of a lot of prospects, (which is why they couldn't get the Unit from Arizona, nothing to give in return.)

                              I am commenting because the yankees situation is very similar to something in the Premiership in England.. Chelsea has new owner, well just before last season, and last year he spent and spent and spent, and didnt win a trophy. Got rid of the mgr in the off season, spent and spent and spent again. I think it is just unfair and takes away from the integrity of the game, in any sport IMO

                              Sort of like the Marlins a few years back, when they basically loaded a team, won the world series, and then broke the team up.

                              ok, I'm done, thanks for reading, lol

                                yeah, but the beauty of it all, is George Steinbrenner buying his team, thinking he's going to win, and then getting punked by the wildcard team in the world series.
