I think it is an absolute disgrace for someone at Sasha's supposed level.
The mixing should be flawless , it isn't, sounds as though it was thrown together at the last moment. After how many years. ???
It lacks coherence .
It not only has too many vocals , they are bad vocals, surely he could have found tracks where the voices were actually good.?? Or , as some of the tracks were great without vocals , used them without.
I have a feeling one of the reasons he redid it was the success of flutes commercially. Even if he didn't use it here, there is definitely an echo in spots. And the same MO . Repetitive, low complexity , making it very accessible to the masses.
Which means it will probably outsell everything that went before.
There are some great tracks but as a album it just doesn't cut it. It's almost the exact opposite of what I love.

couldn't have put it better myself, some good tracks but badly put together and no flow, but its already climbing the itunes chart so Sasha won't care too much
The tracks themselves are great, I have listened to the individual tracks and as remixes they are superb, however.....
The way it is put together just stinks of him being bored of it all.
The way some of the transitions happen it just breaks the flow completely.
Also, this should have been a 2 hour mix with some long transitions, he has chopped the best bits of some of the tracks out to make them fit the CD, but he has chopped the best bits out, we have loads of vocals but the fun trippy and blippy bits have been cut.
I am going to make myself a proper Involv3r mix as I love the tunes, but the mix itself is just poor, I know I can do far better.
Someone I know has put up a soundcloud tribute to all the involvers, and it's still there. Just don't name it involver 3
I still can't get over the fact that a dj who has been such an important figure in the history of EDM could actually put this out. You would think he would care how his work is presented.

I don't think that's purely down to him, more like pressure from the label who wanted to get it out, when it was GU there was probably a lot more flexibility but MOS probably just wanted a commercial hit
I think he was just completely bored of all the tracks by the time he had to put the mix together.
Having said that, this is my take on it, done in under 6 hours and that included listening back one and making 2 changes.
If I listen again I am sure there are things that I would change, but reckon a dozen listens over 2 weeks would get it into a package I was completely happy with, and surely that is what Sasha should have done?
He even said that he has never listened to it back.
A lot of the tracks were quite new though as a lot of the tracks he wanted to use originally he couldn't for one reason or another, only Battleships, the Healing and XX have been in a lot if his sets, the others haven't been played that much

That actually makes sense. It fits in with what I said about capitalising on the commercial success of flutes.

This is something I find strange. Why would it be hard for Sasha to get tracks.?? Who wouldn't want to be on Sasha's Album ???
