not to mention, lockheed also snatched the presidential project away from sikorsky. lockheed is just as dirty and filthy as boeing. they really need to clean up their act... =/Many people would sooner die than think; In fact, they do so.

Where are you a longshoreman? At the Oakland ports? I've recently started working as an owner/operator out in the ports part time, hauling container/chassis from UP to the some of the various ports.Originally posted by HomskilletWell, I'm a longshorman out here in SF/Oakland and the Union is the best thing that's happened to us. If it weren't for the Union we'd still be working for minimum wages for one of the most dangerous jobs in the world!
When I was in the corporate world, I wasn't too keen on unions... I thought it was just a reason for people to do half ass work and get away with it. Now that I help represent a union, I'm damn glad to see what it does for me!
Granted there are people that abuse their privlidges, I'd say the majority benefit and still work hard.

Yeah, I work out here in the Oakland ports but they also have us traveling to Redwood City, Crockett, Vallejo, and S.F. I just got promoted to B status so that means I can start working anywhere on the west coast... Southern Cali, here I come!!Originally posted by RuOnPointWhere are you a longshoreman? What do you mean you're an owner/operator? Do you actually work out helping load and unload the ships? Do you have to report to the union hall in SF? How do you like it?
