Yep, was there two years ago. Have the similar pics of jelly fish. Incredible place.

Nice. Works really well as low resolution. A lot of noise at higher resolution but would probably print okay.

No I don't think it will print too well. It might, but there will be some apparent pixelation.

I haven't been to many, but they say that the one in Monterey is one of the best in the country.. I've been 3-4 times, its amazing every time

I was really surprised at the shallow depth of field as well. I got the phone.. for a phone, but it turned out to be a great small camera, i don't even carry a point and shoot. The xenon flash performance is acceptable as well:

No I don't think it will print too well. It might, but there will be some apparent pixelation.

It prints very well.. at least for my needs. I have a Canon mp620 photo printer, and it works fine. I actually made a whole album for a present couple of months ago, no body even suspected that the prints are from a phone. All the pics from the first post are the original files, you can save one and try printing. I have one stuck on my fridge



The video recording was another surprise.. stereo sound, 720p, strong zoom.. here I was chasing some bees, you can see the zoom in action towards the end

and here is one from The Empire State in NY

Overall, I think phones will be able to replace our every day photography needs soon. The Nokia N8 quietly created a new category .. a proper smartphone, that can take good photos. I've had it for over a year..

The new iphone 4s seems to have a very strong sensor/optics combo as well..

Amazon sells it http://www.amazon.com/Nokia-Touchscr...2156414&sr=8-2, or you can find even cheaper on ebay ... however it only works on ATT and T-Mobile, its actually the only phone that can use the 3G bands of both carriers, it has a 5 band tuner. Usually most of the media in the US has a very negative view of the operating system on it, which is Symbian, but it works fine, they've pushed out several big updates and it does everything all the other smartphones do. Another big one is coming in the next couple of months, called Symbian Belle

this is a leaked beta version of it

and since most of us here like music a lot.. it has a built in FM transmitter..
