I was very surprised Nicolas Jaar got an emix this year... I am still listening to that one, which is probably the only worthwhile emix as far as I am concerned.

Would like to hear an emix from Burridge, Rrose, Patrice Baumel, Francois Kevorkian, or Thom Yorke to name a few that come to mind.. maybe a new one from Weatherall as well

Until then though.. I'm sticking with BBC 6 Music (6 mix in particular) like sbando, haha.

BBC 6 is quality.

Nico has an incredibly huge emo following (Plays: 154.314 - Downloads : 42.672, in two months). Plus you NEED the odd experimental/electronic set (Trentemoller). Imagine if they had someone like Perc, Shed, Gigli, Xhin, Lucy doing the EM, banging it and banging it til the neighbours call the police.

Or Rrose, that's a great pick.

Thom Yorke, an Emix?! I think he would need to churn out at least one DJ set first (pardon if I missed one). I could definitely fathom him being given some BBC 6 guest treatment, however (seems to be better suited).

Trentemoller never got the Emix treatment before now, and I fear his star has faded to the point that he never will (EDIT: I lied, he delivered in 2006). I can't imagine Tong would find a place for him at the table in his current postpunk guise.

I missed the Thin White Duke (surprised he got called again, just shows how out of the loop I am when it comes to Tongy's Rolodex). I gather you recommend, Sbandy?

Thom has done guest mixes for BBC 6, the one I remember was all over the place.

Stuart Price is still a hero of mine and his Fabric CD still stands out. But no, not "our style", even if I enjoyed him dropping Monkey Gone To Heaven and Depeche Mode, Some of his new tracks ("Traques", lol) are definitely interesting.

Tongy's rolodex is filled with hookers, do not count on it. It's a long way to "W".

Yea he was on the 6 Mix last year, excellent show I must say. As for mixes, he did put out one comprising of his own works and remixes last year for XFM:

I think given enough time, Thom could put an amazing emix... Mixing may not be pro but the track selection would be sublime no doubt.

Maybe I just wasn't on the Trenty tip as much back then. I am not so sure I even heard it, but my memory is sketchy.

Yup, it'd be more of a Back to Mine. I think it would be better to just give him a weekly radio spot where he can showcase what he digs. Haven't heard any of the mixes you and DDR have mentioned, but it seems more appropriate than an Emix.
