Would love to work for apple.... I heard that you have to have a reference from within apple before you can even get in. Does anyone know if that's true?

I highly doubt it. If you are qualified and your resume looks good I am sure you don't need a reference. They like Amazon where I worked are growing so quickly and have so much cash that they don't have enough good people, so if you are qualified it shouldn't matter. Always having an internal referral probably helps get someones attention much easier though.

You can always add Google Maps' webapp to your Home Screen via Safari. Or there is always the MapQuest app to, not sure how well that works overseas though.
