Digweed last night on Kiss 100

Playing it back now, i'm only 35 mins into part 1 but can honestly say it is the most painful 35 mins of dour, just plain dull drivel, if it continues like this it will be the worst Digweed Kiss show on record. Digweed sounds about as enthusiastic as me going to work on a Monday morning, maybe hes just smoked too much gear and just can't be arsed


shame, as last weeks first hour was a blinder

fraid so, i liked the Hotmix too, loved it in fact, but his Kiss show this week really was boring, although Victor Calderone sounds pretty good in the guest mix.

Dunno if Digweed smokes or not, just the tone of his voice sounds like he is stoned

Funny you mention that chem because last night I turned on the 'Replayer' to see who the guest was and the beginning starts right into Digweed's mix. As I was scanning through I thought to myself 'Man, this sounds like shit.' Victor's part didn't sound too bad, will definitely give that an ear later.

I think we have a right to be disappointed. If I make one bad grade on an exam I get disappointed, even though it's not indicative of my overall performance. Most of us hold Diggers in high regard and therefore expect more (even though it is just a radio show). However, it doesn't mean that we're all giving up on him - that would be ridiculous.

Is it just me or has his show gone completely down hill since "Diggergate" (i.e. his Kiss beaurocrat enforced mini-break and slot change).

The opening March'04 show was excellent, but things have been on a downward spiral since then.

In 2003 there were always 3-4 tunes that you couldn't stop replaying ... now I seldom even replay the show. Diversity seems to have completely gone out of the window and he seldom ever features the range of labels and artists that he used to.

There can'r be too many excuses - its not even that quality music isn't available ... Hernan regularly proves that there's top quality stuff out there.

I'm currently replaying Twilo April'01 and pining for bettter days !

IMHO, you can't even begin to compare the two. The radio show is MUCH different than anything you'd witness/hear live.
