Digweed's Kiss set this week

[sammwalk]

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Digweed's set this week...some really good tunes. And it also appears he is using Ableton...

Nice!

Haven't listened to the Fortier set yet, but I'm gonna check it out after what peeps have been saying.

How can you tell he's using Ableton? Just curious...

Re: Digweed's Kiss set this week

Judging by how perfect the mixing is, compared to what we normally hear on his Kiss 100 mixes. The tracks are mixed at points where one would not usually be able to mix, i.e., ambiet intros, and for far longer than usual. Also, the sound quality is better. I think it points to Ableton.

No, that's just normal digweed, his mixout of Extra Welt - Supertrack into Extra Welt- Supertool, was fucking amazing. I got chills when I heard that, Digweed you're my hero. King Digweed up to his usual shit, I thought to myself for a while i thought he was slacking but he still has it. What I'm trying to say is Digweed doesn't need ableton people created ableton to sound crispy clean like him, After he wasn't called the "Silky Smooth Dj" for nothing. I believe DJ mag called gave him that title back 1996. I have the issue I think.

Long Live Digweed and The Underground

p.s. that fortier is fucking dope as hell as well. He makes me proud to be from Orlando, Florida

Re: Digweed's Kiss set this week

This week's set was phenomenal.

Over the past couple of years, there always comes these lulls. But Digweed just lays the smack down and ratches it up a couple notches just to proof he's still the master.

Yeah I can't get this week's mix out of my playlist...

he has always been a super mixer. if he made drinks, it would be called "smooth but deadly" or something like that.

i had too much wine. forgive me.

Re: Digweed's Kiss set this week

if digweed used ableton to mix this mix he would have let us know......diggers needs no ableton that for sure

I can't see how using Abelton magically improves sound quality?!

Re: Digweed's Kiss set this week

There is so much more to Ableton Live than "smooth mixing" thats just not the point of it

Re: Digweed's Kiss set this week

Yeah while I havent seen it in action or a preview of it I thought the beauty of it was that it gives the dj the ability to easily chop up tracks and piece things together well on the fly.

Speaking of the mix, Je Regrette Everything owns me
