Clubs that you visit often

Re: Clubs that you visit often

holllywood/los angeles:

spundae @ circus
avaland @ avalon
deep @ vanguard
heaven @ arena

As far as that list, nothing will top Giant @ Circus back in the day. I've been to everything except Heaven at Arena... I use to go the Arena when they had their all ages night back in the day.

Re: Clubs that you visit often

I'm just damn tired of the big clubs around here (NYC), so all I've been hitting are smaller ones..like:

cielo (www.cieloclub.com)
sullivan room (www.sullivanroom.com)
and of late, SOL (www.sol-nyc.com nothing there yet though)

I just love that smaller, more intimate (and good sound) vibe

Yeah def the best clubs in LA to visit, a must
When I used to go to Giant, it was around Korean Town ... and it was most likely a hotel with 4 rooms but the two main ones were HUGE

Re: Clubs that you visit often

If we´re just talking about clubs that I go to, well...I don´t actually go clubbing much nowadays (kids and all that...), but here in Lisbon I´ve recently been to

Paradise Garage
The Loft
Lux

there´s also Kremlin ("birthplace" of DJ Vibe) and Queens, but I don´t like the crowd there too much.

Anyway, the same way some people here sigh about the good old Twilo days, I miss the best club ever in Portugal, Locomia in Algarve...beautiful club overlooking the beach, always great guest DJ´s...oh well...it closed more than 2 years ago.

Only place down south that comes close is Kadoc.

Re: Clubs that you visit often

hi jorre, i'm from Belgium too.
i live in ostend (but not that often) and study in Brussels.
you've forgot about café d'anvers but i don't get in antwerp much.
The Fuse is a place i visit more often.

I just lived in Brussels (Schaarbeek) for 2 years when I studied @ Vlekho

Fuse rocks, but that's Techno...
and about Café d'Anvers, I just went there last weekend to see a 3-hour set of Bob Sinclar... great party!

Re: Clubs that you visit often

My favourite is still Old Twilo, now Spirit. You cant beat that.
Sorry!

i'm with you. Twilo was great. Spirit is not bad at all.
Arc was good. Crobar is ok, other than being way overpriced.
ceilo is nice, although small.

Re: Clubs that you visit often

damned man, I went to the States for the first time this september, landed in LAX and stayed in L.A. / hollywood a couple of days... we didn't visit any clubs simply because we didn't know where to go to... I wanna come back someday

btw, if you don't know already, i made a cheap ass website that attempts to list all the electronic performances coming up: www.westoceanevents.com hope it helps
