where is the intelligent conversation threads in the first place?
Maybe "intelligent" is the wrong adjective. There certainly have been "worthwhile" threads on MS. The 2006 WMC thread was one of the best I have read on any forum anywhere. I felt like you guys there brought the rest of us along for the trip.

if there are more intelligent threads around here then thats cool, lets talk about some real shit, if not, then thats also cool, but expect alot of silly ass postings and shit.

Hella fucking yes.
To me it's about posts that make me think or laugh, at least something that makes me come back. Somehow, a while age the overall atmosphere was one of really cool humour combined with sharp posts. Feels like we've lost it a bit...now I personally do not expect a sudden influx of academically schooled folks here, but at least people might try and respect a certain kind of conduct towrds their fellow men, even if it's in the 'cyber reality' instead of out on the streets....

I love it here. I like the people and what this place has to offer. Before I was always on GU board and I kinda heard about MS. But it seemed it was so secretive.
Once I found it, I began hanging out, reading stuff and realized how different this place was compared to GU.
Imo, this isn't anything close to becoming like the GU board and Im glad that when any of us (mainly admins/mods I guess) sees anything wrong, it'll be pointed out. Im glad you all try to keep people on the straight arrow here.
This is one of the best if not the best boards in regards to this edm world.

a)sasha or john digweed
b)some internet tidbit newsclip
c)some personal shit happening in someones life
d)some miscellaneous shit
Actually, that's what I like about [ms]: I've been member since what? 2002 or something and although I haven't seen a lot of members in the flesh, I feel that they're friends in one way or another. The personal toch of [ms] is something you won't find on other boards. And apart fom that, I've learnt a lot about the US culture (way of thinking, way of living, the shit ppl have to deal with) here as well as stuff wat people live thru every day in other parts of the world. That's added value for me.

[ms] has never gone to shit and it never will. There are at the moment just a few rotten apples in the basket, that's all. The fact that this thread is started and everyone seems to be on the same line, just shows what a kick ass community this is.
There is one person who has yet to post in this thread, and I think we all know who he is, and every since he came BACK to the forum he has done nothing constructive except put the anal gif on all his posts.
Get us back to when we could block certain users from our computers. If a certain user gets blocked by so many people than he gets barred from the site. I get sick of seeing all the lame crack ass threads on here sometimes. Sometimes they are genuinely funny...most times NO.
Here’s what I think. I got hear way back, perhaps I’m among the first. I end up in MS by accident, can’t remember how (I was living in Colombia - South America). Initially I was looking for music, so I rarely posted. I read the threads though, and used to find interesting conversations here. As years have passed, and more members have come, it seems like most of the people is here looking for music, posting a “thanks” in the promos & recommendation forum and that’s it.
There seems to be an over trivialization of this whole music conversation. The amount of music shared everywhere in the net (and here specially), has turned everyone in this sort of frenzy; there’s no time to talk about one thing because something else is on its way; nothing stays around long enough to So people are talking about banal stuff, everyday shallow, yet funny things, while downloading music . I’m trying hard to stop downloading more sets and taking some time to really listen to this music and find out what’s really there.
