The selection of EM this year has been poor in my opinion. How would everyone else feel about hearing the following:

(ii) Luciano
(iii) Luke Fair
(iv) Ben Watt
(v) Tyrant again
(vi) Magda
(vii) Lee Burridge (cant believe he still has not been given a solo go)
(viii) Wiggle

lee burridge and luke fair,i dont mind listening some essential mixes from them, it's not a poor selection,it's different taste in music, i dont like all the essential mixes,the show is about all the genders in electronic music, so i guess it has to satisfy everyone, i'm pleased with this year's mixes

Hernan Cattaneo should have been given atleast two EMs a long time ago, that man has some serious skills that Radio 1 needs to show off.
16 Bit Lolitas could be good if they spice it up a bit.

I'm not banging the trance BS guys, just fed up with the whole minimal techy thing that doesn't do it for me.

I too think it's odd that people like Cattaneo and Pappa have not had a sniff at an essential mix, yet some real unknowns have been on there, yet havent been heard of again
